The Minister Puig and the Union Workers

Santo Domingo .- Labor Minister Max Puig met in his office with the members of the Falconbridge Dominicana workers union, led by Jose Aybar, aimed at mediating between management and employers to reach an agrement on severance pay, after the mine ceased operations 12 August.

Puig said they are listening to the opinions of workers and employees, because it's important to understand both views.

He said this is done for the good of workers, the company and the Dominican Government.
