NEW YORK.- The Dominican Jose Peralta, N.Y. State assemblyman of Queens District 39, said many New York-based shippers swindle their customers because they have no license, some ship merchandise stolen in different countries and other shipments “disappear” and never reach their destinations.

The legislator said one of those companies that doesn’t have a permit is “Bonao Direct Shipping Corp,” where he held a press conference together with Jim Mingione, representing the organization Shipment Victims, to alert customers especially in the in the start of the Christmas period.

Peralta said many of those companies swindle large amounts of money from customers in the area since hundreds of articles don’t even reach their destinations. “Some shipping companies work dishonestly and without licenses of the maritime agencies and many of them are in Queens County. Many have proven to be a problem and a threat to New York’s residents.”
