Santo Domingo.- President Leonel Fernandez yesterday said with the death of the editor in chief of newspaper Hoy, Mario (Cuchito) Alvarez Dugan, Dominican society has a great loss, because he oriented with sense of balance, wisdom and good sense.

The chief executive went to the prestigious journalist’s funeral services Sunday afternoon to offered his condolences to his relatives.

Fernandez said Alvarez, who passed away Saturday night, oriented public opinion with wisdom, balance, good sense and much common sense for society. “Don Mario Alvarez Dugan contributed to influence the spirit of Dominicans as a society.”
