Santo Domingo.- President Leonel Fernández says that his only reasons for pardoning former banker Vivian Lubrano de Castillo and four of the men convicted in the Plan Renove fraud scandal, were “Christian and humanitarian and in sympathy with the beneficiaries’ precarious states of health”.
In the wake of the chorus of criticism the suspicions provoked by decree 847-08, Fernández called a press conference yesterday where he declared he would favor anyone who had been unfairly imprisoned, as long as the case was presented at Christmas or before the main national celebrations.
Meanwhile, yesterday Vivian Lubrano de Castillo was re-admitted to the Abel González clinic, where she had been hospitalized for almost four months until the news of her pardon was released, on December 22nd.

Lubrano the beauty queen?
Members of the public and private sector are expressing surprise and anger at the pardon granted to former Baninter manager Vivian Lubrano. Though initially the anger was directed at the fact that Lubrano had not served the minimum percentage of her sentence and that the Pardons Committee was not informed of the decision before the announcement, the latest reports have added fuel to the fire. El Caribe reports that Lubrano, who claimed she could not serve her sentence at Najayo because of medical reasons, was seen at a beauty salon only moments after the pardon was announced and then attended a family party. It seems to many that her pardon miraculously cured Lubrano or raises suspicion that her health ailments were in fact a jail evasion ploy.

He added that in the next constitutional reform the power to pardon should be removed from the Executive Branch's power and given to the Supreme Court. Sorry, but I am back.
Yes although very young , I knew Don Juan Bosch briefly and respected him as a great writer and teacher. He was really an outstanding human being. But in reality most historians agree that he did not really like the role of
being president too much, and while in power the sense was that he was not comfortable being president and was happy that he was overthrown by the military. Historians also have the impression that when he did not return to DR promptly to claim his presidency in the first days of the revolution, stating the "plane was too small", denoted a hesitancy and ambivalence that became more pronounced in his later years after he broke with national heroes Francis Caamaño and José Francisco Peña Gomez.
Still do not take away merits from Leonel Fernandez, whatever his grave mistakes, cronyism
and abuses of power, he is still a masterful politician and great scholar who knows the value of good timing and influential alliances.

Members of the public and private sector are expressing surprise and anger at the pardon granted to former Baninter manager Vivian Lubrano. Though initially the anger was directed at the fact that Lubrano had not served the minimum percentage of her sentence and that the Pardons Committee was not informed of the decision before the announcement, the latest reports have added fuel to the fire. being president too much, and while in power the sense was that he was not comfortable being president and was happy that he was overthrown by the military.
Un judio de Nueva York posando como Cubano. Que desvergonzado eres. Nadie ya te hace caso.
Escribes a las 10:12 PM de la noche del 31 de Diciembre se ve que no tienes a nadie que te quiera por odioso!
I read the article about Vivian declarations in the radio program "el gobierno de la mañana" stating that she is really sick and that Dominicans should have compassion for her.
Soon she will develop the "stockholm syndrome" and really start suffering from the up to now faked
symptoms. Like W.C. Fields used to say: You can't fool all the people all the time....but you can fool enough of them to make a decent living" LOL.
She is living in her now own self inflicted hell hole, and she deserves no better for her shameless
scams. Like O.J. Simpson who initially escaped justice, and then his karma came back to get him. She like Judas will be so persecuted and hated by all that she will find no comfort in her ill gained fortune and one day will repent and end it all to do the world, the rest of humanity and all Dominicans a big favor.
Vivian you can run but you can't hide! One day justice will be done, meanwhile enjoy your ill gotten freedom in the dark hole you crawl in.
Maybe *2 and *3 but definitely not 1 a. or b.

León Bosch is an recurrent alcoholic and also great impressionist painter.
He is also not only a wife beater but a wife kidnapper. If you really know him ask him about that and about his first wife in 1965 after he recovered from gunshot wounds by an assassin in Hospital Padre Billini.
If you want to know where to find him contact the Italian embassy in Rome, Italy. where he is the cultural attaché.
You see GC you know nothing about nothing. Go back to your lousy wine bottle you old drunk.
Or call up your other wife beating drunk friends.

The original quote was by US senator VP candidate LLoyd Bentsen to
VP candidate Dan quayle:
Sir, I knew John Kennedy well and you are no John Kennedy!
Is John from Drakes still around?
I met him in the mid 90's at the Buger Hut in Boca -Chica , he use to ride his Honda out there on Sundays. He told me he was one of the original Bozo's and soon after I frequented Drakes the Oldest Pub in the America's..
This guy you are feuding with "Inquisidor" is a peice of work , isn't he?.. so bitter so insecure.
You chose an opponent that will not rest until, like the vampire killers drives the stake into your rotten heart, so you will stop spreading your vicious hate and misinformation to the world, pretending that you have anything worthy to share but more of your sorry mucus.
The truth hurts but very few can drink from that well, you need a clear head for that you boozer.
Give it up you old drunk and buy some more cheap wine and get smashed with your other alcoholic wife beating friends.
