SANTO DOMINGO.- President Leonel Fernandez will address the country next Monday, to speak about the world’s financial and economic crisis and about the measures the Government is taking to ease the impacts it’s expected to have in the Dominican Republic.

The Presidency’s Press director Rafael Núñez said the Head of State’s televised speech will be at 9 p.m., with the State-owned CERTV as the source.

Núñez didn’t specify what topics the chief executive will talk about. “President Fernandez will speak to the country next Monday night at 9 to address the global economic and financial crisis."

Who cares? LF has never spoken the truth thus far, why would he begin on Monday evening. Enough talk, DO SOMETHING for your people ! They are tired of listening to the same old "double talk" that you do so well. Tell the people why you failed at securing reliable electrical service for the DR? Why Metro will not operate by Christmas, as promised? Where did the $130MM USD go? How much of the $90MM (Super Tucanos) is going toward commissions? Why you have appointed all those "funcionarios" that do not FUNCTION? Tell us something new. Please !

Prez LF will be a mouthpiece for Hugo Chavez (as the RD disarms law abiding citizens)... he will discuss how the world financial crisis is due to US Corporate greed and corruption! At the end, he will ask the US & allies establish a super-fund to help 3rd world poor countries like the RD and put capital into Dominican banks.

Prez LF will accuse the US, silence Fannin (which is not hard to do), the RD being a good place to invest (not mentioning the shortfalls in energy, inftrastructure & low education and producitivity of Dominicans) and talk alot about how his plans are the savior of the world (even though he can NOT fix the RD).

He will NOT however, talk about domestic issues that have lingered for so long such as access to power, clean water, RD Gov corruption, police abuses & the violation of human rights of both Haitians & law abiding citizens being disarmed, price gouging by merchants who charge at the RD$ 60 vs $1 US AND do NOT pass on savings from DR-CAFTA.

Thieves!
