SANTO DOMINGO. – Members of the special border security force Cesfront and the national army recovered almost 32 pounds of marijuana abandoned by a Haitian who tried to enter the country through a rural community near the city of Dajábon late Saturday, according to a statement released by National Drug Control Agency (DNCD) Sunday.

The discovery was the latest in a series of weekend drug seizures, spokesman Lebrón Robert of the DNCD said. A Swiss citizen was arrested Saturday night at Las Americas International Airport when he tried to travel to Spain with five packages of a white powder believed to be cocaine in his luggage.

Another small amount of cocaine was seized in the tourist area of Guayacanes near Juan Dolio, Robert said.

The marijuana found near Dajabón was taken to the central anti-drug agency, where it was analyzed and later destroyed. The Haitian citizen believed to be the owner of the drugs fled.

The Swiss citizen, 27-year-old Frederic Bocher, is currently being held in a DNCD jail, and will appear before the public prosecutor of Santo Domingo province on Monday, the statement said.

Many know I've written weak border issues and disclosed the micro-trafficking even long before the RD Gov decided to put in newly trained reinforcements. I have also commented for years about the high level of DNCD & police corruption. I know DNCD agents personally were local drug smuggling rings work & partner closely with police to move drugs without any obstacles.

Typically this 32 lbsof marijuana will be manage by the DNCD Notre jefe & recycled to local drugs gangs like the local gangs like the Pichardo brothers (Chino, Choppo & Bacho) who will give $$ kickbacks to local authorities & policticians based on profits. Notice that Bacho a Pichardo brother is in prison but will have significant influence on the streets via his brothers Choppo and those working for them.

This is not a joke as them men & their street names/real names have long police records and are main criminals micro trafficking from the border to Santiago and beyond while being above the law!
