Police confirms number killed and some are police and military

VILLA ALTAGRACIA, Dominican Republic.-The National Police confirmed that eight people were killed Thursday morning in a car accident 29 kilometers north of the capital on the Duarte highway, near the community Pedro Brand.

Of that number, Police said three are members of military, two police agents and three civilians. It said two cars were involved in the collision, a Ford Focus and a Toyota Corolla.

National Police sergeant Zacarias Furcal said a long traffic jam on the highway resulted after the accident, whose victims include Confesor Adamés, Santo Martínez, Aneuris Ramírez, Agustín Sánchez, Kelvin Andrés Martínez and Ramón Mercedes.

He said  traffic flow was restored.

The bodies of the victims, who lived in Villa Altagracia, were taken to the morgue at the Forensic Pathology Institute in Santo Domingo.

Muchacho you are the same person as Josean! You're virtually insane! Please show some respect to the victims and their relatives.

Last week there was another accident between a truck and a car in la Romana killing 9, maybe trucks should drive in separate lanes. Anyway, there should never be a two way lane between cities.

I sincerely apologize. I wasn't trying to make light of that tragedy, but of the opinion of some posters on here that tend to blame everything on the Metro.

Again...I'm sorry if I offended you in any way.

Well said muchacho, right there you put yourself in another lever, different than the Josean man, that guy is so negative of all our country means to us, he should be unreal, and for the guy in the Netherlands buenoha, I applaud you too, you are as brave a Dominican as they come , perhaps that Josean is as Haitian as have been observed here.
