Santo Domingo.- Dominican Republic still awaits being certified as a nation free of the bird flu virus, which would allow it, among other aspects, to resume exporting chickens and eggs.
Although it’s been more than three months since a process began to evaluate the Dominican situation and to issue a final verdict, the delay in the certification is attributed to the process’ slowness.
The verification effort includes the taking of 100,000 samplings and only 20,000 have been taken to date, although the first cases of the virus were detected in December in chickens, specifically in fight roosters, whose tissue samples are sent to labs in the United States.

I so happy that you got what you deserve.
And just look at the victor who ... crowing ... stands over you, as your behind lies on the ground.
Next April!!!
Of course, the delay may result from either (1) the taking of samplings in the Dominican Republic or (2) from examining the samplings in the USA or (3) both or (4) neither.
Somebody said something about after the election, things will likely pick up and the chickens will get the attention and affection they deserve.
If (1) is the case, that's possible.
It would certainly be a good idea if the victor, who stands ... crowing ... over you, would give you a good kick.
