Santo Domingo.- The opposition PRD party leader Hugo Tolentino Dipp yesterday said president Leonel Fernandez’s attitude regarding Haitian immigration is contradictory.

The former Foreign Relations minister said proof of that is the accident Friday when a group of people involved who were on their way to a motorcade of Fernandez’s PLD party were reportedly Haitians.

"Knowing how Fernandez took advantage of a anti-Haitian campaign against Jose Francisco Peña Gomez, and seeing now how he uses Haitian citizens to try to retain power, one has to be filled with astonishment," he said, in reference to the late PRD leader.

Hey, the are playing the last card on the table.jajjaja.. The scapegoat haitians for PRD shortcoming is a good one. I can't stop laughing. I can see Fernandez's motorcade surrounding by haitians chanting in creole..Devant nou bwalé= Pa'lante que vamos!! Wow, is this the best they can do. Fernandez is definitely a winner because there isn't any candidate capable of knowing when to use the haitian card.

JOSE FRANCISO PENA GOMEZ: I'm black. Vote for me.

LEONEL: I'm mullato. So, you know what to do.

GOMEZ: Mullato! What's that?

LEONEL: Both black and pretty, not like you.

GOMEZ: The ugly man always makes the best politician.

Belial,

Huh??? Please lets not go down this road. BTW, what effect does these allegations? Will people not vote for Leon-el? How much persuasion can the haitian card make? Well, it cost Pena Gomez the elections but can it effect Fernandez.

Paraphrasing yourself GC: "Another whiner from the Grassy Knoll school of thought". Seriously, these PRD guys need to learn when to concede defeat. Just remembering the hardships that the country experienced when the banking crisis hit us on 2003 should be reason enough for any sane person not to vote for these good-for-nothing fellows.

Yes, but unfortunately where and when ignorance prevails "rational thinking" is absent. Dominicans unfortunately live in denial and in the past. They allow themselves to be fooled by ideologues that profess the same rhetoric and hollow promises.

Dominicans just don't get it, progress demands sacrifice, commitment time and perseverance. Something Dominicans don't want to accept. They are always looking for the easy way out.

"Dominicanos somos mucho..."

You are correct, and precisely my point. Too few are diamonds in the rough that are truly honest, sincere, loyal to cause, forthright with integrity, and incorruptible.
