Santo Domingo.- Organization of American States (O.A.S.) observers delegation chief Jose Bordon said he recommended that State resources only inform and avoid confusion with official publicity, to provide balance and fairness in the short time left for the process.
In that regard, opposition PRD party presidential candidate Miguel Vargas said in each meeting with the OAS mission concerns have arisen such as that of the use of scanners.
Vargas said this concern is valid because a new model is being implemented in the country and that "it’s necessary to have that well attended because it’s obvious that it’s to choose the President of the Republic and this requires all care, all transparency, requires all rigors a process such as this implies."
"It’s of concern to us that 10 days to the process, the scanners were still not in the country and five days before, and more tests were still being done, that according to information from our delegate, those tests were not satisfactory," he said.
Vargas said he’s sure he’ll win the process "and we’ll not do anything that can mar the process, but we’re not going to allow that to be done to us either."
However Bordon said the scanner system is a suitable, positive process which bolsters the Dominican electoral process and will serve to provide faster and precise information on provisional data.

This PRD people still believe they can intimidate the Dominican population,
just look at that man MVM's face,
it would terrify anybody to encounter that face in a dark alley, pure ganster,
if the previous PRD administration devastated the country,
with this man in the chair, there is no telling what could happen.
ahahaha!!, damn, good one too, pretty funny as well,
electric chair, very apropiate should be for many people,
but this ugly face in the chair, and we are back another 20 years.
