Santo Domingo.- The head of the Organization of American States (OAS) observers mission called Dominicans to vote en masse and to maintain the peaceful climate that exists in Dominican Republic.

José Bordón said he expects the process to conclude successfully in the operational aspect and praised the cooperation the OAS has received from political parties to conduct their observation optimally.

He also praised the integration of the municipal boards with the polling stations.

As for the opposition+ PRD party's complaint the pro-government candidate used State funds in his campaign, and the ruling PLD party’s allegation that former senior military officers threaten to intervene in the process, the official said he reported it to the OAS and to the JCE.
