Santo Domingo.- President Leonel Fernandez yesterday said his call so the nation’s active forces join and work to consolidate the country’s stability, growth and economic progress includes the opposition PRD party.
The Head of State, noting that "the electoral campaign already passed," stressed the need for Dominican Republic to again be able face the challenges it has ahead as a nation. “My call to the active forces includes the Dominican Revolutionary Party. I would hope they accept it."
Interviewed by CNN in Spanish, Fernandez said his last Friday’s electoral victory is not a personal merit, rather the result of a permanent construction of a strong political leadership. He said the PLD party reaffirmed its condition for being the country’s major party.
However, he cautioned his companions not to fall in "the car of praise," convinced that still they have much to learn on the exercise of politics.
Campaign finance
The chief executive said he can show his campaign was financed with funds of the PLD party and donations from that organization’s close supporters. “At no time that situation took place in the Dominican Republic,” he said when asked if taxpayers’ money was used to continue in power four more years.

nothing will be gained from them, since none have enough sense other that their own benefit,
they are nothing but a bunch of insolent, classless individuals.
Experience tell us , from that sort of people, there is nothing to concur about anything.
You bet we will, perhaps my memory works better than some others that still have the audacity
and nerve to think and believe in such bunch of hoodlums,
I do remember well, what kind of experience we have had from them, the PRD'istas".
and I would desire them , not even to my worst enemy. since they are worst than the enemy.
