PRSC WON ONLY 4.75% OF THE VOTES
SANTO DOMINGO.- Faced with a crushing electoral defeat the deputy Victor - Ito- Bisono asked the opposition PRSC party’s leaders to resign, and allow a transition commission aimed at making it a new entity with new leaders.
The legislator said he and the group of PRSC leaders who accompanied to him in a press conference have had enough of a party "filled with leaders and increasingly empty of voters and young people who join it."
He said the PRSC is headed for extinction if it doesn’t change and that was the main message from voters in last Friday’s elections. He clarified that with his proposal he’s only thinking about the PRSC’s future and isn’t "requesting heads to roll."
He said his call is for all the leaders to resign and includes himself and his supporters who are part of the central executive directory.

It is a pity Balaguer did not resign in 1966 and save all these losers the trouble of resigning today...we can only imagine that scenario....and dream

El Partido Reformista as a term "party" died when Balaguer gave in on July 14, 2002, the fighting cock has crocked and 80 percent of it has been purchased by the PLD.
Crushing deafeat is not the word. More like total and undeniable affirmation that the Reformistas are just political mercenaries, being bought and sold at will. Go home to you new father Leonel, i'm sure he has a "nominilla" waiting for them.

Speaking the truth is not being sore. When a party fails to receive less the 5% of the electoral vote, and 80% of its members vote for Leonel means it can no longer call itself a party.

Throughout the ages there have been political movements (parties) which have fell by thewayside when their usefulness in the political arena has been preempted by another, or when they have shown themselves to be inept in the government activities.
This is the case with the PRSC andsoon, the PRD.
What other parties will emerge to fill the void remains to be seen.
Maybe one which will abide by the Dominican Constitution and will be dedicated to the betterment of the nation as a whole, abrogating the current propencity towerd blatant corruption, clientism and seekers of botellas.
There needs to be a sweeping change in the manner in which this government functions with a concentration on transparancy, with honesty and integrity in all Administrative dealings regarding government functions andpolicies.

Texas Bill, we will be meeting soon to select new board of Directors...a new platform for the PRSC party will be created. Balaguer built bridges and apartments to those in need. The PLD party has been following the same tradition as of Balaguer. But the only major problem in the DR is the electricity. There is a soluction to that problem but the PLD is not looking forward to solve it.
A new constitution signed by the Dominican people not just the president and the senate. what e better example than the constitution of the United States of America, but ofcourse we will adjust a few things.
I believe that in order for our country to progress, we need to have a separation of church and state. The basic rights of owning land. We need to learn from the best in order to move forward.

The PRSC got a very respectable 11% in the 2006 legislatives, but plunged embarrassingly to only 4 lousy points last Friday. Between the 2004 presidential and 2006 legislatives, the PRSC enjoyed a nice uptick from about 9 to 11 percent. But,again, from the 2006 legislatives to the 2008 presidential, the PRSC stumbles from 11% way down to 4%.
WOW! WHAT HOPPEN?
LF(speaking to PRSC leader): I want to buy you, if you sell I'll pay a good price.
PRSC LEADER (deliberating privately in his mind): Well, let me see. The PRSC will lose May 16 whether I accept or reject LF's money. So, if I accept LF's offer, I will not hurt the PRSC. And, if I reject the offer, I will not help the PRSC. I really need the money. So, the issue is not whether to help or hurt the PRSC, but rather the issue is whether to help or hurt me. Why should I be hurt if it won't help us win? There's no reason.
PRSC LEADER (tearfully speaking to LF): How much is a "good price?"
However, the problem.

Between 2004 - 08, LF drops 57% to 54%.
If LF bought PRSC, then his number should have rose one, two or even three points. But it didn't rise, it fell.
Either PRD or the no name "others" scored on the PRSC's bad day.
Forgeting, for a moment, the no-names, we see PRD did about 33% in 2004 and 40% last Friday. So, PRD picked up a big 7 points.
Let's find out where the 7 points came from?
PLD (57% down to 54% between 2004 and 2008) lost 3 points and let's give them to the PRD, leaving 4 points unaccounted for,
PRSC (8% down to 4% between 2004 and 2008) lost 4 points and let's also give them to the PRD.
So, the big 7-point jump of the PRD resulted from taking 3 points from the PLD and 4 points from pitiful PRSC.
Now, the messer-upper is the "other" half dozen minor parties on May 16. But with PLD's 53%, the PRD's 40%, and PRSC's 4%, that's 97% accounted for, leaving the "others" with only 3%. And they can't mess up much with only 3%, because we talking a big 7%.

Let us not forget, this is for you arcatype. That after the U.S. intervention in 1965, the U.S. rigged the elections and installed Balaguer into power as there little puppet.
Balaguer appealed the rich, and installed a CIA operative “Sacha Volman” as director of Falcon Bridge, And lots of other ugly things.

The first president to continue and expand the building of major roads for transportation, and the list goes on hospitals, schools, bridges etc. Who Joaquin Balaguer!!!!! nobody else. Leonel has been following his footsteps, infrastructure and more funding for education should be the focus for the next four years.
