SANTO DOMINGO.- Yolanda America Reyna, mother of president Leonel Fernandez, was taken to the CEDIMAT hospital’s emergency unit today, where according to the chief executive, his mother receives attention for as yet undisclosed ailment.

Fernandez visited his mother shortly after noon, and other relatives are also in the hospital.

Upon leaving the hospital the chief executive, quoted by newspaper Diario Libre, said his mother, 81, will remain in observation for 24 hours.
