Santo Domingo.- When assuming their Foro Ciudadano (citizen forum) posts, the members of its new Follow-up Committee stress the need for the country to count on a strong civil society and a commitment to with the country’s wellbeing, mainly with the most needy and impoverished.

Citizen Forum’s new Follow-up Committee was elected in the General Assembly held March 13, with Magino Corporán as general secretary, and representing the Dominican National Handicapped Federation (FENADID).

“Our country faces enormous challenges which demand the commitment of all citizens, political organizations and the leadership of the different sectors of society, beyond those of conjunctures and particular differences,” Corporan said in a statement.
