SENATE PRESIDENT: ‘IF I WERE THEM, I’D RESIGN’
SANTO DOMINGO.- Just hours after Dominican Republic’s lower Chamber announced an investigation on alleged irregularities and scandal sparked by the Accounts Chamber’s judges, Senate president Reinaldo Pared Thursday said there are enough reasons to dismiss them.
The lawmaker, who although advised awaiting the results of a Chamber of Deputies commission probe for that purpose, acknowledged that a decision of that magnitude is motivated by evidence the judges themselves presented in their accusations. "If I were a member of that organism I’d resign."
Several judges of the Accounts Chamber accused its president Andres Terrero of committing irregularities, after his allegations that his colleagues “had ganged up against its institutionality.”

This is nothing but a P.R. stunt.
