SANTO DOMINGO. - Police chief Rafael Guzmán said Monday crime in the Dominican Republic has been considerably lowered, and that the country is one of Latin America’s safest, according to international studies.
He said it’s possible to observe a rise in crime in the media, which he affirms isn’t so, since the Police works to guarantee order, peace and the security.
The official said an increase in preventive patrols aims to avoid stop crimes
Guzmán spoke after receiving from Interior and Police minister Franklin Almeyda 78 motorcycles to be used by the Auxiliary Police nationwide. He said the units will be used by the supervisors of agents on preventive patrols in Santo Domingo and Santiago.

Well if you lie long enough and hard enough people will begin to beleive it.
So lets start a campaign to show the media is lying.
Good move Teflon Fernadez but nobody that has any brains beleives these lies.
Calle A Traversal (between Casa #9 and #10) in Los Platanitos (Ensanche Caonabo). Most dealers are led by a man name Choppo who is a drug middleman. All the politicians and law enforcement know the deal and sell protection from local, International and US laws for drug and human traffickers.
Maybe one day the US DEA, FBI will find out what is really going on.

And so, my fellow Dominican, ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.
