Santo Domingo. – Dominican Republic’s top three musicians and composers Juan Luis Guerra, Michel Camilo and Jose Antonio Molina were bestowed Thursday in Santo Domingo with a "Doctor Honoris Causa" for their "discipline, seriousness, dedication, passion and enthusiasm" throughout their careers.

The Pedro Henríquez Ureña University (UNPHU) awarded the recognition in a ceremony where the three musicians attended accompanied by relatives and friends.

"It’s a great honor to receive this investiture, and since I know that God is involved in everything good that it happens to me, I want to give thanks to Him who has allowed me to know Him,” Guerra said when he received the recognition.
