SANTO DOMINGO.- Central Electoral Board president (JCE) Julio Cesar Castaños said Tuesday the entity’s interest coincides with those of the United States Embassy, of providing security for Dominican ID papers.

He said the JCE agrees with U.S. Government’s efforts to thwart identity fraud, and that the court collaborates daily with that country’s embassy, when it requests a probe of Dominican IDs used to travel to that country, as well as to the European Union. “It’s a global, universal issue, the insistence on providing security to the IDs of Dominicans and for all the citizens is also our interest.”

Castanños said the U.S. will provide technical assistance to strengthen the civil registry and prevent ID fraud, through courses that will be taught in the Electoral Training and Civil Registry School.

This seems to mixing electoral and criminal matters.

Plus, the US imperialists will do Europe and the USA.

"So that we can fight Dominican-based identity theft in the USA, you must give the USA access to voter records and let the USA train your people who manage voter records."

In Florida in 2000 and 2004, the rotten GOPs purged over a million voters who were likely liberals -- blacks and old sunbirds -- from the voter registry.

Yes, some of them had the voting rights restored or re-enfranchised after the elections.
