SANTO DOMINGO.- President Leonel Fernandez will announce a series of economic and social measures, including on saving energy, electricity, fuels and a wage increase, amid great expectation of industrialists, business leaders, politicians and other sectors of society.
The Head of State will speak in a televised speech at 9 p.m., as the economic and social measures expected would “alleviate" the poorest citizens.
The Presidency’s Press director Rafael Núñez said Fernandez will speak about importance topics that "public opinion and the population in general are expecting, regard the crisis of energy and foods."
He said the chief executive has been consulting with Government officials of the economic, energy and agribusiness areas. "So the President already has a diagnosis on the reality in those three areas at his disposal."
Yesterday Hacienda minister Vicente Bengoa, interviewed after a meeting with Fernandez, said the complementary budget, of around RD$30 billion, will be submitted to Congress Friday morning or Monday of next week.

What happened then will probably happen again tonight.
NOTHING, NOTHING, NOTHING!!!!!!!!

Tonight I will be addressing only two of the very serious problems that face our country today. In the coming weeks I will be talking about the other problems, but for now I want to talk about some things that affects all of us. Tonight I will not discuss anything else. First of all; Where is Josean? And secondly; Do you realize that the cost of dry cleaning a pair of pants has gone above $100RD? We cannot allow ................... blah ................ blah..............blah.............
The time listening to this speech will be much better spent reading a book.
