SANTO DOMINGO.- The Senate will hold impeachment proceedings against six of the Accounts Chamber’s (CC) nine members today, after deciding the procedure to follow to hear charges of misconduct and serious offenses in the performance of their functions, filed by the Chamber of Deputies, a hearing that sets a precedent in Dominican Republic..
The hearing is slated for 9 a.m. in the Senate floor, against CC president Andres Terrero; Jose Altagracia Gregorio, secretary; and the members Alcides B. Decena, Julio de Beras, Luis Yépez Suncar and Freddy Bolivar Almonte.
Yesterday the Senate accepted the resignations of CC vice president Henry Mejía, and the members Juan Adalberto Lora and Jose A. Maceo.
After the reading of the resolution of the Deputies, which serves as an indictment, each member of the CC will be questioned, starting with Terrero, and each senator can ask their questions afterwards.

It is more possible that we will witness no justice.
