SANTO DOMINGO. - The director of the Government’s Anti-Corruption Department on Wednesday said they continue gathering information on the scandal in the Accounts Chamber (CC), as a base for a possible indictment of its former members.
Octavio Lister said if the probe determines that there was crime, the CC’s nine ex- members would be called for questioning.
The official spoke with the press during the inaugural of the Corruption Case Registry and Clearinghouse System in the Justice Ministry building, with the participation of prosecutors from across the country.
Eight of the Accounts Chamber’s members resigned before the Senate dismissed them and only one awaited the final verdict.

All the parties suck the teat of the GDP in this manner andthe only ones who benefit are the Party Leaders who live off thepopulation when andif they are not in the position of Administrative Control of Government funds.
As to those very minor parties whose sole income isderived from govrnment contribution to their overall funding, these parties are simply parasites to the system, offering no candidates either for Senators, Representatives, or for the Presidency. They are therefore totally insignificant to the political arena and inoperative as a viable alternative for public consideration and/or electivity.
It woulkd be better if all parties were removed from the Public Largess therefore eliminating a very large drain on the Public Coffers.
Leonel, PAY ATTENTION. The SYSTEM STINKS.
