SANTIAGO. - President Leonel Fernandez inaugurated Thursday the first Government-built housing project in various areas of the country for the families left homeless by the storms Olga and Noel.
The chief execuative handed the keys to 512 families who lost their homes and belongings when the North Yaque River’s waters flooded the Bella Vista, Nibaje, Hato del Yaque, Baracoa and Rafey sectors in December.
Fernandez cut the ribbon for the Villa Progreso-La Herradura housing project built at a cost of 377 million, whose homes have two bedrooms, among other facilities.
