SANTO DOMINGO. - Senate president Reinaldo Pared said that legislative body doesn’t have another legal attribution in the case of the Accounts Chamber (CC) other than what every one knows occured in Friday’s impeachment proceeding. "It’s prudent to place the limit where it reached, and I can neither go beyond what the law confers on me."
Pared, answering a reporter who asked if it’s legal that Andres Terrero is still in his CC offices, the Senate president said "unquestionably so," that his presence is there irregular. “Now, one thing is logical, if he presented his resignation I don’t see any reasons for him to continue as head of that institución"
He asked Terrero that if he wants to render a report then he should be accompanied by a notary public, to draft an affidavit on "what I’ve done" in that agency.
