SANTO DOMINGO.- The government’s anti-corrupción agency (DPCA) yesterday began gathering documents to determine if it opens a criminal investigation against the Accounts Chamber’s (CC) nine ousted members.

Yesterday DPCA assistant prosecutor Hotoniel Bonilla went to the CC offices, where he held an "amicable" meeting with its outgoing president Andres Terro, and analyzed a series of documents.

Hours before the meeting Justice minister Radhamés Jiménez said the DPCA has the case of the CC, and noted that DPCA director Octavio Líster has total independence to decide on whether to launch an investigation.

He said it’s logical for Terrero to remain in the building, because must hand over the post to the new substitutes and sees the former CC chief’s position as “responsible.”

If these guys actually go to trial, it'll be like the Banninter Case all over again.
Torrero should be barred from access to the records and office computers. He is having an opportunity to erase and eliminate valuable evidence by his continued presence. And you can bet your bottom dollar he is doing just that in order to cover his A$$ on all accounts.

GC;
Since I don't trust ANY Dominican Official because of the manner in which ALL, except for a very few have presented themselves, I really don't think cynacism is a questionable result of overall observation, do you?
The way these guys have acted doesn't deserve any consideration at all.
