On another note: My respects again to the fallen soldier's survivors.

But, they should'nt have brought back the deceased's remanins draped with the U.S. flag?
This a sovereign nation, not Guantanamo bay, the Panama Canal, or Vieques, Puerto Rico. Come on, be sensible, now.

"ViejoCowarnial, why don't you go and kill innocent civilians in Iraq, since you so much justify this Illegal War. "

oooo

Heroes have courage. This guy didn't.

Courage always thoughtfully faces danger for the right reasons.

This guy faced danger and danger won. The most we can say for this guy is that he may have fearlessly faced the danger.

But fearlessness isn't courage.

He may have been thoughtlful and deliberate when he faced the danger. But courage is more than just a combination of fearlessness and deliberation.

He didn't face the danger for the right reason or right motive.

The reason this guy was sent to Iraq by the imperial US regime was to help conquer a country that is rich in oil and on which Bush lied about WMDs and 9/11 to supply a pretext for aggression, occupation and conquest.

This is not a right reason or motive for facing danger. It never has been and it never will be.

The guy didn't have courage. He's no hero. He bent before Bush.

There were a few US troops killed in the DR in 1965 and there was ... then as now ... a type of Dominican who wept and sobbed for the US troops who lost their lives in the 1965 conquest and occupation of the DR.

But this type of dominican didn't shed one tear or utter one sob over the 50,000 Dominicans the US troops slaughtered in 1965.

As for Venezuela, the "disaster" of a society soaked with money and most of the money going to the masses in higher wages and health care, education, housing, and nutrition programs in lieu of wages.

Every country is the world wishes it had such a "disaster."

As for the deceased, this Dominican American soldier agreed to kill Iraqis who defend the sovereignty of their country from foreign attack and occupation by US imperialists.

The ethics of this deceased, however bereaved he is both up here and down there, leaves a little to be desired.

No doubt if the US imperialists sent him to Santo Domingo to kill Dominicans who defend the sovereignty of their country, like those in 1965, this guy, who confuses servility and patriotism, would have rushed to the DR and killed with gusto.

"Belial how is Obama doing in the polls?" GC asks.

GC, like a church mouse, always runs from the topic to something else that he knows nothing about.

The polls say:

Head-to-Head Polling
RCP National Average

McCain (R)........... Obama (D)
43.7%....................... 44.9%

http://news.yahoo.com/elections

This an average of all major polls as of today.

McCain is spending on ads twice as much money as Obama. McCain infests the Olympics coverage with his stupid ads. But he doesn't seem to getting much traction from his unanswered propaganda. Is this as hard as he can hit?

GC, you apparently don't believe Iraqis have a moral and legal right to defend the sovereignty of their from foreign attack, occupation, and conquest by the US imperialists.

Conversely, you apparently believe turncoats morally and legally should help and fight for US imperialists who attacked and seek to conquer Iraq based on despicable lies about WMDs and 9/11.

The turncoat dies while killing Iraqi patriots who were justifiably and nobly defending the sovereignty of their country.

GC, you feel like you ought to gush, but there's isn't enough feeling in you to gush over this guy.

So, you, GC, merely talk admirably about this servile Dominican who fell and died for US imperialists, because you, GC, hope other Dominicans will be stupid and weak enough to fall and die for US imperialists.

oooo

In an earlier post, I denied this guy was hero on the ground he didn't show courage.

AnthonyC hints this guy is a hero on the ground of honor.

There are two types of honor -- from self and from others.

Honor is an opinion held by oneself or by others or by both about one's moral worth, and the presence or absence of courage is one of a dozen items used to gauge moral worth.

AC suggests the deceased, in death, enjoys the high opinions of others about his moral worth, based perhap of how others gauge his courage.

The reality, as far as USAs

US liberals, a 3rd of US people, hold the deceased in contempt.

US reactionaries, another 3rd, honor him.

US independents, the remaining 3rd, don't give a damn.

These fighters of the Iraqi patriotic resistance have demonstrated for five years a courage against huge, better equipped, and better funded US imperialists forces that has won the admiration and astounded the world.

The US imperialists have been forced to adopt genocide 0ver combat to avoid a pullout. As a result of the genocide policies of the US regime, somewhere between 1.5 million and 2 million Iraqis have perished in five years, most from coldblooded murder by US troops and US mercenaries.

This young man is a hero in both countries ....and all you grassy knoll whiners and complainers can go to hell....This hero goes to Valhalla...

AnthonyC and Chillaxin201: whenever you are ready to learn a little history, let us know. Anthony C states, " I thought you said it was 2 million? If you are going to spew lies at least get them straight." What? Are you insane or an apathetic idiot? 1 Iraqi death due to this illegal war is too much! Still don't get it? And Chillaxin201, where the hell are you from? Given your sub-par English writing skills, not US born. But then again, with education soo bad, he could be from Texas. Class is open for all who suffer from Americanismo (disease that strikes certain types of individuals who, once arriving to the US, renounce their mother land and officially coined themselves "Americans").

Hey Che
Let me give you some real info on the guy whose name you use proudly.

They claim he was a medical student yet the Univesity he was a "student" at has no record of him even being there.

He was a great guerilla fighter yet he never won even one skirmish.

He was a Hero of the revolution but even Fidel exiled him because he was so incompetant at everything he did.

He traveled Africa and Latin America formenting revolution yet none ever got past the bandit stage.

He was brave fighter yet the only people he ever killed were prisoners who were beaten, bound and blindfolded.

He was a master at strategy yet he was captured by a squad of the Bolivian National guard.

Chickenhawk (also chicken hawk and chicken-hawk; sometimes designated after a person's name by [c.h.]) is a political epithet used in the United States to criticize a politician, bureaucrat, or commentator who strongly supports a war or other military action, but has never personally been in a war, especially if that person actively avoided military service when of draft age.

The term is meant to indicate that the person in question is cowardly or hypocritical for personally avoiding combat in the past while advocating that others go to war in the present. Generally, the implication is that "chickenhawks" lack the experience, judgment, or moral standing to make decisions about going to war.

The term was first applied to vocal supporters of military action who were perceived to have used family connections or college deferments to avoid serving in previous wars, particularly the Vietnam War. In current usage, the label is used almost exclusively to describe ardent supporters of the Iraq War who have themselves never been in combat; it is seldom if ever used with respect to supporters of the (more broadly supported) war in Afghanistan as such. The label is not usually applied to women (who were historically, in most countries, barred by law from serving in combat). People who use the term have not necessarily been in the military themselves; people labeled "chickenhawks" have sometimes served in the military, but have not seen combat. Although it is possible to have a military career and never be at war, the term is often used in the context of someone who has been in the military in time of war but make efforts to steer clear of combat, such as George W. Bush's military re

I just got the first lines from his exceptance speech at the Demo Convention.

"Four score and seven years ago the only thing we have to fear is fear itself."

Then he goes on about his plan to make hair transplants covered by medicare and that he will work tirelessly to move our government under the control of the UN.

Biden huh? Wow that is a lock for 3 electoral votes.
