SANTO DOMINGO.- Frederick Medina Abud, the Police ex major being held on charges in the Bani bloodbath case, is also linked to the gangland style murder of Civil Aviation official Angel Christopher Martinez in 2006.
Martinez’s son Ed Christopher, speaking Tuesday outside the National District courtroom where Medina was facing a charge of murder in the killing of Toribio Pitin Montero in March 24, said the former officer is involved in his father’s murder. “We are following this and other cases Medina is involved in.”
Angel Christopher Martinez was reportedly murdered after he ordered the grounding of planes owned by Dominican airlines on suspicions they were tampered with to facilitate the shipment of drugs.
The Police has also linked the former officer in the murder of Air Force colonel Jose Herran Mancebo last year, a case in which Leonel Velazquez, a major in that branch, is serving time for paying gunmen to carry out the killing.
Lina Giraldi, president of the foundation Francois Bilbao Giraldi, noted that despite that Medina has several criminal cases pending, he always gets released for his influence on all Police and judicial authorities. However she said it seems Medina’s time has come because of his direct participation in those cases, such as Pitin’s murder and others as yet uncovered.
Giraldi said Medina was the one who contacted the assassins of Air Force major Herran Mancebo on December 29, 2005, and who were sentenced to 20 and 30 years in prison. “But as always Medina Abud was always released by the influence he always had in the police and in justice, which kept him out of prison.”

However the plot in the DR is plainly known going all the way up to Leonel and his cronies.
Just a matter of time until Leonel buckels.
