SANTO DOMINGO. - Two Haitians died and more than a dozen were injured in an accident that occured when a SUV illegally carrying 18 citizens of the neighboring country allegdely ignored a Border Security (Cesfront) patrol’s order to stop, on the highway between Dajabón and Loma de Cabrera (northwest).

The fatal victims Jhoseph Solbin, 29, and Esterbin Pie, 30, were in the red Mitsubishi Montero which only had the seat for the driver, who fled after the incident. The Cesfront soldiers Yancer Martinez, 20, and Joel Perez, 22, were also injured.

The group of Haitians were taken to Dajabón and Montecristi hospitals with fractures and contusions, while the military were taken to the hospital at Mao and then to the Military Hospital by helicopter.

Wait for the internanational community to put the blame on Dominicans and Haitians will be the vicitms, We are screwed regardless.

The Hatians are are probably gonna say that we should've let them drive right through to avoid such fatalities.

you gotta love it. posters are putting their two cents worth in, without knowing all the details. the most critical unknown is the identity of the driver. he could have been haitian, or he could have been a trafficker.who knows, he could have been anyone. so guys, before you go off half cocked, and sounding all wounded, why don't you wait to see if further revelations clarify the issue.
