Santo Domingo.- Dominican antinarcotics officials have yet to release a photo of the small plane left abandoned in a sugar cane plantation near Higüey (east), a region known for the many flights that continue to arrive in the country and which land in isolated places.
The National Drugs Control Agency (DNCD) Web site has yet to provide information or a photo of the plane, whose details are unknown, although it said it immediately launched an investigation to determine if it’s linked to narcotics trafficking.
Agency spokesman Roberto Lebrón said the small plane, that was first reported Wednesday, doesn’t have markings or registration number. “It’s a small apparatus with two seats.”
He said DNCD personal jointly with members of the Police and the military have secured the landing site.

Was that a "Brothers to the Rescue" flight?

The DR is kind of like a reverse Devil's Triangle, in one place airplanes dissapear, in the other, planes just materialize out of nowhere.

Neon, changed your mind about forum negativity? welcome back!
With it, apparently:
- astronomers can map the contours of far-off planets
- physicians can see images of internal organs
- meteorologists can measure rain falling in distant places
Maybe it can be tweaked to track incoming small aircraft in the country...just a thought!
