Area of Sotogrande, Cap Cana.
HIGUEY.- President Leonel Fernandez said Friday the "Living Forces Summit" will take place despite the opposition PRD party’s absence, and the dialogue and consensus will only bring "good things" for the nation.
He said he’d like the PRD’s participation in the convened dialogue, and justified it given the international crisis "which looks worrisome, full of uncertainty,” and it’s most logical for the countries to join their forces.
Fernandez said the dialogue needs to be seen in the sense that it’s an effort to unify the country to confront the threats from abroad. "There’s a threat of recession on global scale."
The chief executive spoke to reporters after the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the resort project Sotogrande, in Cap Cana, with 522 luxury apartments on an area of 136,000 square meters.

Some people are gourmet caca eaters, do you know the story?
Two drunks walking down a street at night and see a huge pile of something that looks like do doo.
And they both get close to it and smell it and say "It sure smells like it".
And the other drunk says: but we have to be sure...and his buddy says ..we have to be sure and then they put their fingers in it and move them around the pile......."yep it sure feels like it" says one....but we have to be sure says the other...and he said we have to taste it!!!!! so they both went ahead and tasted it..and said aaarrrhhh, in disgust it's caca! and the other said "it sure is"....and they both said out loud.........
Damn...we almost stepped on it!
I sure don't want to step on that caca in the dialogue and I for sure don't have to taste it to know that it is going to be there all over.

Professor,
They are totally desperate and want to group every body together to shield themselves from the impeding catastrophe.
This is the guy who did not want to debate during the election because he was smarter than all the other candidates. This is the guy who does not hold press conferences. This is the guy who built a METRO with out public discussion. This is the guy who made the Sunland loan in violation of the constitution. This is the guy who pardoned Vivian without even the courtesy of informing the committee he had empanelled to seek advice.
Now that his ass is the hot seat he wants others to fan it.

Rubi,
I am sorry you got suckered into the Cap Caca Ponzi Scheme! Sell your options as soon as possible even if it is pennies on the dollar because even at that price they are worth too much!

Josean.....come to think of it I've never seen a Leonel press conference. But I didn't know about Leonel's preference to avoid debates. The debate concept is central to getting your platform to voters....wow. How are Dominicans evaluating their candidates?

There are many covert and overt Lie-onelitas here on DT who prefer that I not point out or remind people of their great leaders hypocrisy.

he only avoids press confrences and debates because he's stupid and very ignorant and if they were to ask him something he probably wouldn't know how to respond so he's just avoiding being put in that spot and to keep himself from having to be laughed at.
I just wonder what good things are going to come out with this new "Dialogue" nonsense LF is excited about, its a money thing ofcourse he's lighted up and expects the rest of us to feel it, jajajaja
but its a good thing for CAP CANA, i guess!!!!!!!

He just doesn't get the questions he should from the local news reporters that are more concerned in themselves appearing knowledgeable than asking the hard questions and demanding solid answers from him.
They are also afraid of financial repercussions, since most newsmen come from modest means and a complaint by a powerful person could cost them their job.
If LF ever had somebody like me, dreadlocks or Lautaro on the other end, asking questions he would be sweating blood.
