SANTO DOMINGO. - Armed Forces minister Rafael Antonio Peña said the drug airdrops in the country’s South region are now being done in the eastern zone, for which the area will be reinforced as has occurred in Barahona province.

He said the equipment will be installed in the Cuevas de las Maravillas, because it’s a more flexible place to monitor the entire zone. “After the South zone’s vigilance was increased, the movement of aircraft or boats for drug trafficking hasn’t occurred, but have moved to the Eastern part of the country.”

The official said radars are being sought and the acquisition of the Super Tucano airplanes is being expedited, measures he said aim to reduce drug airdrops.

I'am getting tired reading about Drug dealers doing this doing that in DR. It sounds like an epidemic is taking place everyday on the news, and people just report on it like it just another weather forecast. It's really becoming a very big national joke!
