SANTO DOMINGO.- Punta Perla resort president Ricardo Miranda affirmed that the purchase of the property where the tourism complex is being built was carried out in adherence to Dominican laws, for which the Santo Domingo Chamber of Commerce certified its legitimacy.
Miranda’s statement is in response to allegations by Andres Liétor Martinez published in media Web sites, which claim that fraud is being committed in that project located in Punta Cana, whose groundbreaking was headed by president Leonel Fernandez and Monaco’s prince Alberto II last week. “It’s an attempt to create a scandal to obtain in public opinion what they haven’t obtained in other arenas, and to extort Punta Perla so it pays certain sums of money before the expiration of contractual terms.”
He said Liétor and Carlos Sanchez must also pay for the losses in the millions he said resulted from the violations in the sale of the rights through the company Paraíso Tropical, S.A., which figure as owner part of lands of the resort site, “as per the lawsuit filed in the Spanish courts.”
“He (Liétor) looks to sling mud on the honest proceedings that have characterized the members of Punta Perla, which counts not only on the participation of distinguished people of national and international moral reputation, but also with the support of recognized global financial organizations that have joined us since the idea was developed to build the Punta Perla Resort, Golf, Marina & Spa project in Cabeza de Toro,” Miranda said.

"This schemes are to place the DR in the headlines of world development projects at present time, even when places like Dubai are having problems selling. It is all a fantasy. Buyer beware. look at all the failed and incompleted develpment projects in the DR. This is not the time for these games."
A knock out my friend!
