One protester is an associate of Colombia’s FARC

SANTO DOMINGO. - A group of 15 people, among them the admitted associate of the Colombian terrorist group FARC, Narciso Isa Conde, hurled shoes at the Israeli embassy in Dominican republic, to protest that nation’s incursion in Gaza.

The demonstrators demanded that the Dominican Government break diplomatic ties with Israel and ouster its ambassador in the country, Amos Radian, who was the subject of insults.

Among the demonstrators was Luis Schecker Ortíz, representative of the Syria Lebanese Palestinian Club.

A Jewish husband and wife were having dinner at a very fine restaurant when this absolutely stunning young woman comes over to their table, gives the husband a big open mouthed kiss, then says she'll see him later and walks away.
The wife glares at her husband and says, "Who was that?" "Oh," replies the husband, "she's my mistress."
"Well, that's the last straw," says the wife. "I've had enough, I want a divorce!"
"I can understand that, "replies her husband, "but remember, if we get a divorce it will mean no more shopping trips to Paris, no more wintering in Barbados, no more summers in Tuscany, no more Jaguar in the garage and no more yacht club But the decision is yours." Just then, a mutual friend enters the restaurant with a gorgeous babe on his arm. "Who's that woman with Moishe? " asks the wife.
"That's his mistress," says her husband.
"Ours is prettier," she replies

A lawyer and an elderly Jewish man are sitting next to each other on a long flight. The lawyer is thinking that Jews are so dumb that he could get over on them easy...so the lawyer asks if the Jew would like to play a fun game.
The old Jewish man is tired and just wants to take a nap, so he politely declines and tries to catch a few winks. The lawyer persists, and says that the game is a lot of fun. I ask you a question, and if you don't know the answer, you pay me only $5; you ask me one, and if I don't know the answer, I will pay you $500, he says. This catches the Jew's attention and to keep the lawyer quiet, he agrees to play the game. The lawyer asks the first question. 'What's the distance from The Earth to the Moon?' The elderly Jew doesn't say a word, reaches in his pocket pulls out a five-dollar bill, and hands it to the lawyer.
Now, it's the Jew's turn. He asks the lawyer, 'What goes up a hill with three legs, and comes down with four?' The lawyer uses his laptop and searc

The lawyer is going nuts not knowing the answer.. He wakes the elderly Jew up and asks, 'Well, so what goes up a hill with three legs and comes down with four?'

Israel has the right to defend itself. Hamas is a terrorist group. Many of those protesters must read some history before trying to get into situation they do not know. Breaking diplomacy with one country is not a solution, diplomacy was established in order to build relationship and peace between two nations. The best solution is that United Nation send peace troop to Gaza, the same way they are doing in Haiti. In the mean time, if Hamas keeps firing rockets into Israel, do not believe that Israel is going to send them flowers.

Here here... I'm glad that people have mobilized to protest the human atrocities being committed by BOTH Hamas and the Israelis. I'm just amazed at how STUPID both Hamas and the Israelis have been. Almost as brainless as India and Pakistan being manipulated by the extremists.

Does Israel want the world to turn its back on Hamas, let in International Peace Keepers. Does Hamas want to get the sympathies of the world, how about some peaceful civil disobedience. But no! lets play the same games, so that you can get the same results!

BUt good for these protesters! Human RIghts violation anywhere in the world is a threat to liberty everywhere.

This must be some new ways of creating political excuses and presentations of a news on the world. These protest are not of consequences to the Israeli Embassy in D.R., as far as D.R. government is concerned. The relation of presenting an associate of a revolutionary group discredit the protest when that associate is link to terrorist. Any group that raises arms is no longer considered revolutionary but rather " TERRORIST ". Arm forces are not considered terrorist no matter how many civilians they killed. Whoever has the powers makes the rule of laws and wars. Hamas won an election and thus gain the rights to lead its people in Gaza. Israel place a blockade so as to the people of Gaza regret electing Hamas. Some make erroneous comparison of Haiti and D.R. These two countries already have a border. The Israeli with the help of the power nations stole the land from the Palestinian who must keep fighting to liberate themselves from the Israeli. Who are the real TERRORIST?

In Gaza , there are only two genuine parties : Palestine and Israel. Hamas is an outsider armed by Iranian, using gunpoint to terrorize Palestine people and seize power as the Taliban did. There is no peace in the middle east as long as Hamas keep waging a jihad war against the innocent civilian population in Israel. The root cause of the conflict is Hamas and they should get the hell out Gaza Know.

I totally agreed, it appears to me that most of the Arab nations cares very little for the Hamas, the Israelis should use bigger bombs, and finish the Hamas problem quickly, before they are forced to end their campaign. The UN is still an anti-American, anti-Israeli organization which should be radically reformed or be dissolved.

A female CNN journalist heard about a very old Jewish man who had been going to the Western Wall to pray, twice a day, every day, for a long, long time.

So she went to check it out. She went to the Western Wall and there he was, walking slowly up to the holy site.

She watched him pray and after about 45 minutes, when he turned to leave, using a cane and moving very slowly, she approached him for an interview.

“Pardon me, sir, I'm Rebecca Smith from CNN. What's your name?”

“Morris Fishbienstein,” he replied.

“Sir, how long have you been coming to the Western Wall and praying?”

“For about 60 years.”

“60 years! That's amazing! What do you pray for?”

“I pray for peace between the Christians, Jews and the Muslims.”

“I pray for all the wars and all the hatred to stop.”

“I pray for all our children to grow up safely as responsible adults, and to love their fellow man.”

“How do you feel after doing this for 60 years?”

“Like I'm talking to a fuc.ing wall.

Four Religious Truths

During these serious times, people of all faiths should remember these four
religious truths:

1. Muslims do not recognize Jews as God's chosen people.

2. Jews do not recognize Jesus as the Messiah.

3. Protestants do not recognize the Pope as the leader of the Christian world.

4. Baptists do not recognize each other at Hooters.

{ From todays LA Times } Israel must continue to try to stop the Hamas rockets that endanger more than a million Israeli civilians. It also must continue to do everything in its power to avoid Palestinian civilian casualties, not only because that is the right thing to do but because every Palestinian death plays into the hands of Hamas' leaders.
A bad day for Hamas is a day in which its rockets fail to kill or injure any Israeli civilians and Israel kills no Palestinian civilians. That is what Israel and the world must strive for. Hamas knows that the moment it ends its policy of firing rockets at Israeli civilians from behind the shield of Palestinian civilians, Israel will end its military activities in Gaza That is precisely the result Hamas does not want to achieve.

If you look historically at the 3 religions from the middle east they're all evil and their Ideology twisted, just look at how many lives has been lost and how many wars has been Fought in the name of these 3 beliefs.

In my opinion pornography is the real religion of peace.

Let's face reality. The Jews don't recognize Jesus as a prophet. The Muslims recognize Jesus as a prophet, but according to Islam Mohamed is the last prophet; therefore, Christians are much closer to Muslims in term of respect for our prophet Jesus. The Christians claim that the Jews killed their prophet Jesus. If that's the case, why they are trying to make us believe that the Muslims are our enemy?

Why has Israel brought us into a mess that has not been able to resolve for thousands of years? Bush promotes wars and hatred aroud the world. Bush didn't make an effort to bring peace to the region, on the contrary, Bush exacerbate the situation.

What most are saying is that if a gang of criminals enter your house, with the authorizations of some Godfather , such a gang has the right to take you and your family to some remote place and leave all of you there. As times goes on the group gets so large that refugee camps are constructed, families are separated and those who are not willing to fight for their homes accept whatever is giving to them. Then comes along a group lead by some individuals that take up arms against the gangs who are better armed with a lot more experiences and that are backed by other gangs. They label those who fight for their homes terrorist and the gangs with the right to defend and protect itself and its interest. They even called them HEROS and people in other parts of the world agree with the behaviors of the gangs even when they kill hundreds of children, women, men and so on. The fault is on those individuals and groups that refuses to kneel to the gangs and accept their conditions.

I don't understand what the disconect is where people do not understand that the criticism towards Israel is not in their right to self defense but the "DISPROPORTIONATE AMOUT OF FORCE THAT ISRAEL HAS USED." It is horrible that Hamas fires crude rockets into Israel. It is horrible that Hamas targets innocent Israeli citizens. Is it not also horrible that Israel continues to build settlements on occupied Palestinian land in defiance of International Law? ls it acceptable that Israel fires cluster bombs onto the Palestinian countryside of the type that were outlawed by the Geneva Convention? All of which feed the endless cycle of violence. Am I wrong to be bothered that my tax dollars help to fund this latest disproportionate use of force with mostly American Military Hardware components? The only reason that Israel doesn't use suicide bombers in their military campaign is because they can committ their atrocities from much safer distances.

The only reason that conservative Christians are so dogged in their support of the Zionist government of Israel is because they are believers in the "end of days prophecy." These Christian Fundamentalists groups believe that there will be an Apocolyptic batlle inwhich after the Jews defeat the Muslims and half of the Jews are killed in the battle, the other half will accept Jesus Christ as their savior and convert to Christianity. To this end Palestinian and Israeli agression are just collective theatre for which these Chrisian groups have "purchased" a front row seat. In order for the movie to turn out the way they want, the far Christian Right will do anything to support and finance the israeli military machine. Now tell me, how sick is that?

Israel could not survive as a state without the many billions of dollars every year in US "welfare" that is awarded them in economic subsidies as well as loan guarantees. Not to mention the billions more in Military Hardware components and Weapons Systems. If that were not enough the US gives Egypt and Jordan (second and third respectively in terms of foreigh aid welfare) billions of dollars in financial aid for them to have normalized relations and peace treaties with Israel. So that's right, not only do we subsidize each and every Israeli citizen we also reward their neighbors to be their friends!!! It is the height of hypocrisy and arrogance that Israel should ever accuse the US of betrayal for asking them to stop the current escalation that has caused the death of hundreds of innocents in just one week. Betrayal, when the very existence of Israel is not possible without the US. Betrayal, when Israel sold weapons to Iran durring the American hostage crisis.

AnthonyC,

Learn to read, Israel recieved foreign aid from the US well before the Camp David Accords. The Camp David Accords where the precursor to the Egypt-Israel peace treaty of 1979. The Jordan-Israel peace treaty was signed in 1994, a full fourteen years after President Carter left office. The signing of peace treaties and normalized relations with Israel is what garnered Egypt and Jordan their positions as second and third highest recipients of financial foreign aid, guess who is first. So again, we pay the Israeli neighbors to be friends with Israel. My reference to hypocrisy was in criticism of the Israeli response for citing betrayal by the US asking them to stop the current escalation and not from what you deduced from your lack of reading comprehension.

A great number of Oil Rich Arab nations really don't care about the Palestinians or there cause.
About a week before the Bombing of Gaza, Thousands were protesting in the streets shouting "Death to Israel" and "Death to the U.S" and promising future attacks, meanwhile Rockets rain on Israel.
The blockade was intended to stop the Terrorist attacks from Gaza.
Hamas instead of using there tunnels into Gaza for food and medicine, they were used to smuggle in arms and explosives [ stock pile ]and so called freedom fighters, thanks to Iran.
Evidence is...Many, many more Rocket attacks and still counting.

I'm ashamed of being a Dominican after reading some of the posts left by Dominicans. It seems that they don't have a clue of what they're talking about, it seems that they're parroting FOXNEWS, ABC, NBC, etc. Or the Bush, Zionist line. My conclusion is, that they're are making the victim the oppressor, and the oppressor the victim. It seems that they don't know about the 40-years of the 4th most powerful army in the world, occupying the land of another people, and the brutalization and humiliation( and these are kind words) of the people in this occupy land. They seem to NOT know the treachery of Israel, and is main supporter the US and some of the European nations to keep the status quote in the middle east. They do NOT know of the countless UN resolution that Israel has arrogantly refuse to abide by. I can only cry in shame.

It seems to me that some of the bloggers on this site think the world is consist of the US, Israel and a few Europeans nations. There's another 150+ nations that think that this is wrong. How can you attack a strip of land 29 miles long by 7 miles across, and one of the most populate in the world, with one of the most potent army, air force and navy in the world, against a population that don't have tanks, planes, helicopters or an army for that matter, and expect not to be a massacre. The court of human justices has denounce what Israel is doing as genocide, and is talking of holding the IDF and the leaders of Israel accountable for war crime against humanity. The bloggers on this site also think, that the brutal occupation of Palestinians by Israel shouldn't be resisted, in other words, they should either get out or just lay down and die. Tell that to Dominicans who resisted Trujillo's brutal dictatorship.

Hamas for your information was elected by 73% of the Palestinian people, that is the highest vote count ever in the middle east, not even in Israel's entire existence have a party gotten so much support by the people. So please stop giving faults information to the bloggers on this site.

Hi again CarlosFranco, Some bloggers on this site have been using the Haiti & Dominican analogy, what if it was "Haiti using rockets on Dominicans civilians" to compare the Hamas & Israeli situation. Let me turn that analogy on its head. Imagine Haiti being the 4th most powerful force in the world, and got 4 billion $ a year from the US, the most sophisticate weapons & all the other French benefit that Israel gets from the US. Now imagine DR being occupy by Haiti & the brutality that comes with the occupation, 77% of Dominicans unemployed, and you couldn't do the most basic everyday routine, like visiting family or friends in the next barrio, without getting stop & waiting for hrs at check points. Imagine the humiliation for your father or mother being slap around by the occupier for protesting against these conditions . Or maybe your father, mother or sister or brother or any other member of your family kill by the occupying force for protesting against the occupation.

Hi cibaeño75, why do you even pay mind to this clown 'gouletcolonial' in PR, he has nothing to say but degrade himself to racist comments, which in my humble opinion is the lowest form of defense when you're not capable of debating a subject with facts. What he is doing is reflecting from the real context of the issue on hand. So you see cibaeño75 is a ploy that the US, Israel and is Allied use over & over again, because you never get to the real issue at hand, it becomes a slug & slur match, and the real context of the issue gets lost. So please don't give him or her any more fuel, or time for that matter. Lets keep the debate on the Human suffering in Gaza alive..... Peace for now.

A CNN journalist heard about an old Jewish man who had been going to the Western Wall to pray, twice a day, every day, for a long, long time.
“Morris Fishbienstein,” he said.

Hi again antonioj, many thanx for your acknowledgment. If l could also add, regarding democracy in the middle east, that after Hamas was elected democratically by the people! Israel, the US & most of western Europe, but not all, in cohoost with each other, decided to denounce the election because Hamas was the wrong kind democracy for the Palestinian people( you couldn't make that up if you try) So they decided to ostracize Hamas. Israel withheld money that belong to the Palestinian people, so money that they've work for was cut off. The US and some of the European nations put sanctions on the occupy territory, so the little to almost non-existence trade or commerce that the Palestinian people had was cutoff. And of course the many covert operation to undermine Hamas, pinning them against the puppet leaders of Fatah to try and divide the people of PALESTINE. Also the assassinations of is leaders by Israel. All of this is well documented, so seek & you shall find.... Cheers

Excuse me for budding in, but....
If 73% of Palestinians voted Hamas to power threw a Democratic Islamic fundamentalist Government, are they also the 73% crying Victims ?
Then the other 27% of the Palestinians are the Human Shields. I get it now.
The Palestinians only voted them to power because of there tough hatred Islamic Terrorist views and total Inhalation towards Jews & Israel.
Explain why Iran has such a strong support to Hamas threw weapons, explosives and Jihad fighters.
This mornings paper had a Political drawing.
It showed a Hamas Fighter in a battle zone with a Child placed in front of him, bombs blowing up all around him meanwhile hes firing his AK-47 and the caption reads....
"The Israelis are different than us. They don't Value Human Shields the way we do"
SIMPLE...Place Munitions and Hamas Jihad Fighters near and around the 27% Palestinians who are not Radical Muslims =2 birds with 1 stone. Problem of Victim/Support SOLVED.

Hi josean, I can recommend 'Occupation 101' on YouTube as a starter. Please check it out, about 80% of the narrators or the countless commentators to my knowledge are either Israeli or of Jewish blood. Most of them work in Israel for Humanitarian Organization like, B'Tselem, or write for one of the most respected newspaper in Israel Harretz. Some of the other commentators work for Organization like Human Watch & Amnesty International, etc. All very highly respected institutions. It will very hard for you to come to any other conclusion with the facts put down by some of the commentators, cause they are in the ground seeing for them self was is going on. You will get a brief history of how Israel came to be! Don't be surprise when it does NOT resemble what you have heard in the US media, or in school for that matter. If you think is too simplistic, check out anything by Norman Finkelstein, or checkout "The Making of the Arab Israeli Conflict" by Ilan Pappé.Good luck & keep an open mind.

But like gouletcolonial so eloquently put it, to me all religion is Hogwash!!!! But saying that, l have never felt to demean anybody else for their beliefs, and that's where you & me differ. As a fellow Christian I am appalled by your statements and in disbelief on how you can so radically
defend the massacre being effected daily on the defenseless Palestinian civilians, women and children.
This modern day holocaust by Israeli SS troops will serve as a curse to the Israeli nation and will haunt them all their lives just like the horrible crimes committed against them by the Nazis cursed and haunted the german nation still to this day.

White phosphorus Effects on humans:(weapon use by Israel)

White phosphorus can cause injuries and death in three ways: by burning deep into tissue, by being inhaled as a smoke, and by being ingested. Extensive exposure in any way is fatal.

And yes if you look up the definition of genocide, that word did not exist before 1944.
Genocide is what is being done to the Palestinian by the mighty Israeli army. An army that has more than 4,000 tanks and 400 modern jet fighters. The 5 Th most powerful nuclear arsenal with an estimated over 300 nuclear bombs. An experienced and modern army equipped with the most modern technology and satellite surveillance provided by the USA. An army that has abused the defenseless Palestinian nation and destroyed over 12,000 Palestinian homes. An army that has a broken bones policy like no other horrible crime against humanity except in the most cruel African countries. An army that keeps the Palestinian population hostage and rationed in services such as food, water and curtailing the right to transit. As well as rationing basic services like garbage collection, electricity, and running water.
Just compare the casualty rates of deaths on both sides, and then make a judgement.

Good Morning mrios from sunny London, At first l was skeptical of your attentions, but non the less l reply to your post just to test the waters, but it became quite apparent that you couldn't adhere to the principle of debate. I gave you some of the most respected sources in the world when comes to Human concerns, like Amnesty International, Human Watch, The UN Declaration of Human Rights, etc. I gave you sources in Israel for you to absorb, like B'Tselem, and one of Israel's most respect newspaper Haaretz. You in kindness gave me as your source a redneck from Holland, who is regarded in Europe as a fascist. I should have known the moment you brought religion into the fold, that it had nothing to do with the issue @ hand, but more to do with the bashing of another people, either because of color or religion. While Israel does is deed in Gaza, you do the PR work for them. Is NOT the first or the last time a person like yourself tries to make the victim the oppressor & vice versa.

I have talked to mostly Christian Palestinians and Lebanese, many are refugees now living with their cousins in DR running from the carnage and genocide being inflicted on them by the brutal Israelis.
You should come and talk to them too, you will be outraged of the stories and the crimes against humanity being done daily in the name of peace.
The Lebanese had part of their country destroyed and the new booming tourist industry in shambles
after the disproportionate Israeli attack and destruction of their international airport and stranding of more than 500,000 tourists in that country, and irreversible damaged inflicted to their economy.
All this by a war monger, imperialistic and Zionist expansionist Israeli army backed by certain far
right groups and arms merchants in the US and financed mostly by the US government that gives Israel 33% of the total world foreign aid.
Do not blind yourself to the truth, my friend. The truth does not take sides.

MyMyspinthefacts,
Well you sounded like you had a good, safe, peaceful and restful nights sleep, only to rise to a sunny jolly old London morning.
Regarding honest debate.....The purpose of debates is not bash one another but aimed at the readers and public to inform, educate. It also test individuals personal beliefs and hopefully questions ones own beliefs which is based on all Human elements. I have always looked at things with an open heart and mind, believe it or not.......
Regarding Geert Wilders...He's no friend of mine, to be honest someone emailed me a copy of his lecture.
Although it may be great to read and post articles of information, the bottom line is, truth is where one looks to find it, and used only to reinforce ones own beliefs.
I have had the pleasure of making friends with many Lebanese, Palestinian, Iraqi and Iranians who were not Muslims.....All agree NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE FANATIC FUNDAMENTALIST ISLAMIC MOVEMENT, they are the real PROBLEM.

I agree what you said about the Muslim fundamentalists. They are the ones causing havoc in the world because of their religious intolerance.
What is fundamentalism?
Is basically the belief that you are the only one that's in the right and all others are wrong and should be destroyed.
Religious tolerance is: I believe in this but I respect your right to believe in other concepts and religions. Or no religions if you so choose.
The muslim sheiks and religious leaders are to blame because they do not issue their "fatwas" to condone and prohibit these useless suicide bombings that terrorize the world. As it is banned in their Koran.
But going back to the subject matter, educate and illustrate yourself with other independent news source about the Gaza and Palestinian struggle because the information you are receiving is tainted and bias.
Bless.

Hi generoso, Although we have more or less the same fundamental beliefs regarding the issue @ hand. I think regarding mrios, we'll end up falling into a trap of deceit. Mrios has a problem with keeping the issue into context. He doesn't reply with any coherent objectives regarding the issue. His replies are basically a tirade of abuse towards Muslim, and Islam. these are his last words to me "NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE FANATIC FUNDAMENTALIST ISLAMIC MOVEMENT, they are the real PROBLEM" Is pretty obvious that he's NOT skool on US & W. Europe's foreign policy towards the Muslim countries, specifically in the Middle east for the last 100years or so. I would be pretty angry if l was a Muslim knowing what the West has being doing, specially the last 20years or so. Much of the blood spill in the last 10years has been Muslim blood, and who do you think has been doing the spillage in(Iraq, Afganstan, & Palestine, & most likely Iran) I have no illusion on some rogue Islamic countries.

Sorry generoso I ran out space! Follow up to my last post to you. This faults accusation about Islam wanting to take over the world, is one the ploys the neocons in the US, Israel and part of W.Europe use to invade Iraq(with 1-million dead & counting) It is also one of the ploys that Israel use against Palestine, Lebanon & their neighbors to attack them at will. They want to "wipe us from the earth" ploy. Now come generoso, Israel is the 4th most powerful force on the planet, how is HAMAS going to achieve is aim? With home made rockets? No Army, No Air Force or navy. Surely you must see this as preposterous? We must keep it into context, HAMAS capability is so limited is even farcical just talking about it, is idle talk. On the other hand, take a look of a map of Gaza & the W.Bank, and Jerusalem. You will see who's trying to "wipe" who from the map, and you can be sure that they're doing a good job. I personally wouldn't give too much credence on blaming Islam as the problem.

Hi again generoso, just a Continuation to my last post. I think if you want to get to the major problem and causes in the Middle East, you need to dwell into the USA Colonial frame of mind for the last 100 years. Is no conicedence that the US has 130+ army bases around the world, and plenty in the Middle East, but look up army bases in foreign lands by fanatical Islam & you will find 0. Now l ask you generoso, who's trying to take over the world? The funny thing is generoso, that past & present US Presidents and public officials, Senators & what have you, have actually made comments on the intentions of US foreign policies and specifically on Expansion wether it be Politically or through Military means, is no secret. If you want to find some of the source to confirm there are plenty abound, but Look up "Professor Chomsky" for in depth discussion on the issue. I ask you again who's trying to take over the World?

The only solution to the middle east problems and specially the Israel-Palestinian Mexican stand
off are two things.
1. Recognition of Israel as a state that will never move or be driven into the sea by all their neighbors.
2. For Israel to give up backing the settlers and invaders of the best Palestinian land and stopping the genocide of the Palestinian nation, and resolve not to evict them from their land, but to live peacefully with the Palestinian and actually be good and charitable neighbors.
If both sides can not compromise and give a little then they will be no solution.
The Palestinian have very little left to give in a negotiation so their only resort is to blow themselves up or become a terrorist in anger and despair of all the Israeli crimes against them,
committed with impunity on a daily basis.

generoso good solutions but you missing the root of the problem.

Jerusalem is the problem and both people want control of the old city.
why? because in jerusalen is where you find the greatest amount of holy Crap in the planet
and jews and muslimes are fighting to see who will control access to the city.
just like they did 500 yrs back

what we need to do is blow the whole city into pieces and then send in the army corp og ingineers to level the city flat, including all the churches, mosques, Synagogues, temples etc.

while we at it nuke mecca and medina and sell vatican city and all its millions in gold, jewels and ancient arts and use that money to feed the poor.
After that move there will be no more war in the middle east.

.Whilst walking through the desert during the Iraq war General Petraeus stumbled over a old oil lamp disturbing and freeing the powerful genie inside .who of course promised the General one wish of anything he wanted. It was then that the General spread out his campaign maps of the Middle East on the desert sand and said to the Genie. My wish is for peace in these lands Israel and Palestine and all the other Arabic countries...At which point the Genie started to weasel out of his one wish offer saying he was powerful but these people had been fighting for centuries and there was no hope for a resolution under any circumstances forget it.Please make a different wish..A somewhat disappointed General picked up his maps and began to walk away.the Genie called out go ahead make another wish you still have the wish ...to which the General replied " well then how about an honest Government in the Dominican Republic " to which the Genie replied " Lets have another look at those maps again "

Jerusalem WAS a problem a few years back, the Palestinians have since lost so much more that is
not even very high in their agenda any more, although it is still in their wishful thinking prayers.
Simplistic solutions like nuking mecca and medina and sell all the treasures of the vatican sound a bit crazy now and you must not be serious. A few years from now they won't be so crazy. But maybe all the vatican treasures will not have any takers as people will be more worried about finding something to eat.
I like the nuking solution and we have some really clean bombs that are just begging to be used instead of letting them rot and become unserviceable because with the coming financial catastrophe we would not be able to afford to keep servicing them and they will become useless.
I say nuke them now while we can and worry about it later. Nuke Iran too before they can nuke us.
If we have a small nuke left over send it to Castro to see if that SOB finally dies.

An important correction
The BIG LIE that has been spread by the Zionist spin doctors and repeated so much that people believe it is the truth, that Jews and Arabs have been enemies for centuries and fighting it out.
Not true, very untrue as a matter of fact.
The Jews and arabs always lived peacefully and in harmony. There are many jewish residents and citizens of many arab countries that have businesses there. I met some of them personally.
The friction and clashes with the Jewish residents of Palestine only started in the 20 TH century,
I believe the first clashes were after 1920 or so.
So don't you believe that big lie and consult the reputable history books.

The issue to the claim of Jerusalem as the capital by both the Israeli's and the Palestinians is the third of the other two much more difficult sticking points. The "Border Issue", wherein Israel has continued to build illegal, in accordance to International Law, settlements on occupied land in the West Bank and the "Refugee Issue", wherein Israel refuses to allow the millions of displaced Arabs back into Israel or compensation to the same. These three major sticking points have and will for perpetuity be used as the stumbling block for a two state solution. This complicated conflict has much, much more to do with regional power and control than all of the other variables such as, religion, culture, ethnicities and all other elemental differences combined. I cannot propose to know what the solution is or ever will be, what I do propose and suggest is that the US should cease and desist from the continued and unfair support of the Zionist occupation and abuse the Palestinian People.

GC don't waste your time with spinmyfarts as he tries time after time to understand a conflict that is base on hate and bias & is way over his comprehension level.
If you don't want to look like an azz be smart don't pick sides on this fight.
The palestinians elected hamas knowing their sole purpose is the destruction of israel
and now they are taking it up da azz.
The Israelis continued to act like they are the God sent people and that the land belong to them alone and that the God almighty is on their side, after they finish killing two thousand palis to finish hamas Israel is goinna have to deal with generation of angry arabs willing to blow the living crap out of them for decades to come. NO PEACE FOR THE LAND OF JESUS.
this conflict Is never going to stop unless we let them fight it out.
religious fundamentalism is the real reason this region of the world is so unstable, don't fool yourself into thinking this can be resolved with dialog and negotiations because both sides

Hola 'old_school_trinitario', Nice to meet your acquaintance compadre! I'll let the slur go over my head, so we don't start on the wrong foot. I actually agree with part of your statement "let them fight it out". The only minor flaw l can find with that Brilliant assessment is: The Palestinians don't have an Army, F16, Apache Helicopters, Tanks, or a Navy. Unlike Israel. But maybe you're thinking Hamas with their home made Rockets that have killed 3-Israelis is a pretty balance force against Israel. Is like Haiti having the Israeli arsenal, and Dom Rep having Platano launchers, and you know what damage a few thousand platanos can do.How about a few chi-chi waas flighting over Port-au-Prince and dropping some Mangos to finish them off.... My analogy is preposterous as your suggestion. Can you Comprehend that amigo? ..... Salud Compadre.

what slur you talking about?
anyway , look spinner i agree the palis don't have the military might of the IDF but none of this technology is usefull in closed quater urban combat with buildings full of civilians been used as human shields.
The U.S military as of today is dealing with the same issue in Irak and afghanistan and they have their hands full to avoid civilian casualties.Fear itself is a powerful weapon my friend, how would you like to live in fear of your life for the rest of your existance?expecting to be blown to pieces at any bus stop.
don't participate in the propaganda war that is going on right now on every medium known to man.
Iran, Syria, Hamas, Hizbollah, the Saudis, the pakis, the Jews, everyone can go to their respective hells and stay there, let civilized secular society move foward without all this religious bullcrap.

and1 more thing, have somebody hit you on top of your head con un platano BARAHONERO?
u dont know bro.

I have to make a note of that brilliant new idea for the upcoming Dominican-Haitian war, chichiguas
dropping rotten mangoes on Haitians, they will eat them anyway and get sick and die. UUUUmmmm.
But I like the hateiam1804 idea better to load a crop duster plane with that green voo doo powder that turns people into zombies and spray that from the air. Who knows we might have a secret weapon here we can sell to the Israelis so instead of finishing off the Palestinians slowly and bombarding them with white phosphorus
grenades they can turn the few remaining Palestinians and turn them into zombies, to be used as personal slaves to the settlers. Right Mr. Fishbelstein?
What? You are not interested? The Palestinians are damaged goods you say?
Oh, so you just rather finish them off, hey, I was only making a suggestion, sorry!

somebody hit you on top of your head con un platano BARAHONERO u dont know bro. That's a good 1-Bro! I'm already feeling home sick. And l agree on "religious bullcrap" statement. But to the serious problem @ hand. Surly you must see this whole matter in is context, like how this problem originate in the first place. I hope you know the real truth on how Israel acquire this land in the first place? And I'm sure you must heard of the word "Nakba"? I will assume that you know these things, so how can you in any shape or form NOT condemn Israel's actions knowing full well what has happen to the Palestinians since the making of the Jewish State in 1948. If you did your homework correctly, you will also see when the problems begun in that part of the world and why is drag on into the present. Think of the establishment of the Jewish State & the dispossession of the Palestinian's land, and throw in the imperial USA & Europe, and you will find the heart of the problem... Can you send me some

Seriously bro, you are being brainwashed. What you believe in is not true.
Repeat after me:
I will study the other side of the story and make my own judgement based on those facts.
I will not repeat like a parrot the same scratched record stories that I am being fed by the media.
Believe me bro, I have no reason to take sides, and furthermore nothing to gain.
The Palestinians are being massacred by the Zionist Israeli jews. It is not a religious war is a
colonial conquest similar to when the criminals that Spain sent as conquerors and wanted to get rid off in Spain and they came to America and destroyed and extinguished a beautiful and peaceful Indian civilization, to take over the land and riches. Same thing is happening in Palestine.
It is called genocide, and as fellow Christian human beings we should no allow that.
Palestinians are being exterminated and evicted from their own rightful land. Zionists do not want peace, they want all the Palestinians dead and gone.

I could care less about Hamas, Hezbollah, Fatah or any of those terrorists and mega-corrupt individuals and I hope that they are all exterminated.
I only care about the Palestinian civilians and the innocent men, women and children that are being massacred in the name of retaliation.
FYI Hamas was a creation of Israel and was financed by them as a counterpart to the Fatah organization.
Facts not hearsay. Just do your research, you are not a humanoid with robotic impulses and reactions. Free yourself from the daily propaganda bombardment by the bias media. CNN, Fox

To all you posters.....
If the Muslims in the ME would make this statement, then all could be settled.
And that statement is, "We recognize Israel and its right to exist."
Until that statement is made, no peace.
Hamas will never make that statement, period.
Therefore, no peace.

Hi walnut, Do you know what you're talking about? So these words "We recognize Israel and its right to exist." or lack of saying these words is the reason that there's no Peace in the M.East, so this is the reason why Israel has kill over 1000+ Palestinians in Gaza. Let me ask you a question, has Israel ever recognize Palestine? Beside it being a legal issue, and I'll explain it to you. First, if Hamas was to recognize the state of Israel, the Palestinian people will be basically giving up their rights to the land that was acquire in the 67 war by Israel, which under international law it's illegal. If Israel recognizes Palestine, it is basically giving back what they stole in 67, so again if the international law were apply Israel will have to give it back. So forget the erroneous idea that these words will bring Peace, it's just a smoke screen by Israel & is backers...... Peace

Apologies accepted, no hard feelings. This is an open forum to exchange ideas and points of views. If you resort to slander and name calling is Ok too, we have all done it in a moment of anger.
The important thing is to be able to apologize later. That is the mark of a man.
I have also learned a lot in this forum. And I look forward to reading the very wise ideas that I read. Sometimes not to my liking, but that generates
forward thinking as well if they are not taken as a threat.
Be well my friend, and stick around, this gets better all the time.

I am with the Patton doctrine too. Except the choice of targets should be revised. How about this:
1. Teheran, Iran
2. Riyad, Saudi Arabia
3. Kabul. Afganistan
4. Jerusalem, Israel
5. Islamabad, Pakistan
6. Cairo, Egypt
7. Havana, Cuba
8. Caracas, Venezuela

1)Washington D.C.
2)London, England
3)Jerusalem, Israel

P.S. And NOT exactly in that order.

Mr. Spin,
You read to much Hamas propaganda.
Have you ever been to the ME?
Have you ever experienced being shelled?
Has a family member of yours ever been killed by a suicide bomber?
I can answer yes to all of the above.
Forget what you read in the media; it is always slanted one way or the other.
The war of 67 was an unprovoked attack on Israel. What they gained was for a buffer against further attack.
There is no such people, currency or territory as Palestine. This land was what was given by the UN to the Jewish people after WWII. It now is a modern, high tech land. Those Arabs that were there at the time of the UN's actions were given the chance to stay. A few stayed, most left at the command of ther leaders. And then tried to attack and kill the Jews.
When Israel pulled out of Gaza, the people there were given a chance to re-build and start a land. They chose to build tunnels to arm themselves, not feed and build a nation.
We say dayenu. Enough is enough.

From the time of the pharoahs in Egypt to the leaders of the Spanish inquistion to Nazi Germany to the terrorists of Mumbai, the world has tried to eliminate the Jews.
Time to live in the 21st century.
My family there are PHDs, MDs and honest business people who want to live in peace.
The Gazans only want to destroy this.
They use hospitals, mosques and the UN buildings as military sites.
After lobbing 1000's of missles, we say dayenu. Enough.
And, we do not care what the world thinks because if we listened, we would be annihilated.
So sorry for what has occurred. Time to move to the 21st century.
In closing, when the Arabs of the world finally accept the Jews right to exist in Israel, a major first step will take place.
And I see your leader in Gaza today refuses a cease fire.....keep it up IDF until they are willing to accept peace not war, the 21st century not Sharia law, then maybe there is a chance.

The heroes of the Muslim world, the so-called "martyrs" are killers of innocent people, sometimes their own.
Where is this guys outrage of the 1000s of Muslims killed by Muslims in Iraq.
The millions displaced and 1000s killed in Darfur, all by Muslims.
It is a double standard where they are always the victims but never the instigator.
Dayenu.....enough!!!!
