I don't get it. A country which is building super Highways, subway system, tall skyscrappers, is still having its people wanting to take to the dangerous Carribean shark infested waters. At least I'd understand if it was us Haitians. It proves only one thing, in spite of all the bravado and cheap talk, there is a big chunk of the population that is not profiting from the so call economic miracle of the Dominican Republic.

People in Cuba don't starve. They enjoy free services for mostly everything. They simply don't enjoy the hypocrit freedom "a la George Bush" the yankee want to cast upon them. It is easy to understand, for a country which is at war for more than 40 years with its giant and subversion master enemy, can't take the chance to let its citizens go all loose. Are the United States a free country now?
As for sending all Haitians back to their country, if you used to clean your eardrums, you'd remember that I'd already told you that nothing would make me happier.

However, you must not forget to shut down the border, because once you send them all back, you're not gonna want to do business with us anymore: you can't have and the crabs and the bag.

everyone wants to be in Nueva Yoi. Everyone wants that USD$$$$... Everyone wants a new SUV. Everyone wants a nice house and money for their family. They feel like they can reach these goals faster in USA than in DR.

What they don't know is that most people that go on vacation are actually considered poor in USA. They work all year and spend thier savings on vacations to DR. All the money is spent on mujeres and drinks. They look and act like they are rich just to show off in DR.

This is why people in DR think that life in USA is easy. And they don't know that they will spend the winters freezing their nuts off in NYC

You are obviously referring to Dominican vacationers in this comment. In that case, I would agree with you 100%.

XW, next time you flight to DR, please do this for me, people might think that you are crazy, but I do it all the time and my wife gets pissed off at me. I wait until everyone board the plane, as they close the door, I get up and do a head count of how many men are on that flight. You will be surpprise, it is like 60-70%. I do not have any data how many of them are coming by themselves or a companion, since I do not ask.

every time I travel to DR I treat everyone fair not show off. Dominicans in USA need to learn this and know that you are not above anyone just because you can travel to USA. Also, it is not good to show off with all of the recent kidnappings
