Santo Domingo. - A team of hired killers arrived in the country from Colombia to assassinate Peravia province senator Wilton Guerrero and Drugs Control Agency (DNCD) chief Rolando Rosado, affirmed the journalist Cesar Medina on monday, who said one person has been already arrested after the plot was uncovered.

“If I hadn’t seen the evidence I saw I would’ve never given this credit. As of yesterday I haven’t the least doubt that this man is at risk and the authorities must increase the security around him,” Medina said regarding Guerrero

Speaking in his program Hoy Mismo the also ambassador in Spain said Rosado knows how to defend himself, but that it’s also necessary to bolster his security.

The journalist affirmed that the intelligence agencies are already aware of how many alleged hired killers conform the group and what they names are, but the authorities are proceeding with caution. “I have the details of how the authorities discovered that, where they have met and who they are. The latest details I have is that the plans have been postponed.”

“My duty as a journalist is to alert on what’s happening to prevent a blood bath,” he said, adding that it’s an “incredibly dangerous and delicate situation.”

"Journalist" and Cesar Medina should not be used in the same sentence!

Why would a Journalist have top secret information? This guy probably just screwed up the entire investigation by warning the killers that their plan is known.

This guy is a Yellow Journalist who puts nothing out without an ulterior motive or remuneration.

Anything he states must be taken with grain of salt!

This is why more than ever we need a common defense force in the Americas. Only continental integration will solve the problem of drug cartels.

OK, let's say his information is correct. Wouldn't it have been better is he let the authorities pursue these guys without alerting them? Or is this just a cover story so that the many government officials, army, and police officers and local drug dealers now can blame it on foreigners?

The way I see it, if anything does happen to Sen. Guerreo or Mr. Rosado, the Dominican people will now blame it on "Colombian Hitmen". The real truth may just be, that the real assasins are just local Dominicans, that have been paid $25-50K pesos. Betweeen San Cristobal and Auza, the Dominican Drug Mafiosos (politicos) can find any number of candidated to do the job. Life is cheap in the DR. Should anything happen to either of these two gentlemen, look for the fool who has the brand new 115cc moto in town. He too will be dead within 48 hrs after any high profile hit, as he will have an unfortunate "Hit and Run" accident on his new moto. That will ensure he will never talk.

Preposterous, the whole bottle of wax is just smoke, Senator Guerrero just loves attention by the press corps. This "journalist" should be investigated himself and hard questioned by the authorities. For what purposes is this spin story being let loose, I may ask?
Are we sucking our thumbs here, or we are so naive that we believe these tales?

Let's replay a comment I read yesterday. Somebody mentioned the Death Squads are coming to Dominican Republic and now a plot of assassination. Coincidence or are they writing what you want to read. Bottom line, it's about ratings!

While we waste lots of time on more mundane issues here every day, we are losing our country and way of life little by little. It won't be long until we have similar stories, assuming they have the courage to publish them in the controlled Dominican media, such as those we read daily from Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico.

I see total chaos arriving shortly, with private armies of thugs the de facto rulers, and wanton killings part of everyday life. I clearly don't advocate a caudillo, but maybe there is no other way. Perhaps it will be necessary to decimate the ranks and hang some people from lamp posts in plain daylight and in full view of all aggrieved citizens who need justice.

There is only so much a people can take, and we should already be at the breaking point; if not, then maybe all courageous Dominicans are already dead, or maybe we just deserve what we are getting.

this is all rubbish hired assasins from colombia . The dominican government will not allow it the dncd is a government agencie ramdom hired killers from colombia is not enough to murder a government agent and would be comical if this story was true the operation would be shut down immeadiately.
