Santo Domingo.- Dominican authorities Monday night repatriated a Dutchman arrested Sunday in La Vega (central), which he used as to hide from the authorities of Amsterdam, where he was convicted of sexual crimes against minors and drug trafficking, the Drugs Control Agency (DNCD) said today.

Immigration and DNCD agents arrested Anne Krottje and handed him over to three Dutch Police agents at the Punta Cana International Airport, where he was escorted aboard Martinair flight MPH-66, said DNCD spokesman Roberto Lebrón.

The aging Krottje immediately fled Holland when a court in Groningen convicted him in 2007. Since then he was hiding out in La Vega where he passed for a retired businessman and not a fugitive with a pending international arrest warrant.
