SANTO DOMINGO.- Faced with the widespread rebuke to the now called "counter reform" approved by the Constitution Revisory Assembly, the lawmakers prepare to look for a "legal fix" to revert part of the latest changes which disgruntled the population.

News source diariolibre.com reports that the Assembly discusses a possible modification to the internal procedures to retrace their steps which led to the elimination of citizens’ rights, including the free access to beaches, and to allow a citizen to file challenges on constitutional grounds.

The information was confirmed by Assembly vice president Julio Cesar Valentin, who during the session said the population perceives only the negative, arguing that there are many accomplishments in the approved text. "It is true that we committed an error with the collective and diffuse rights and I believe that we can explore the institutional possibility to make some revision, but in this Constitution a series of revolutionary aspects have been approved."

This just goes to show you how corrupt the presidential office is.
With all the pardons for banking fraud, corruption and nepotisim running wild.
Personally I beleive that this show for the public access by the house is just a front for something bigger in the background.

First put all those who voted for it in jail.

They all received some money to vote that way.

What has this story got to do with the President ,,it is about the Assembly their very wise decision to modify the illegal new section in the constitution preventing public entry to the beaches .
But what are all these revolutionary aspects in the constitution that the Vice President Señor Julio Cesar Valentin has announced ?? oh but if he is into some traditional bribery I would love to buy his beautiful name !!

Shameless corruption. Anyone who voted to ban public access to the beaches should be hung in the town square. All their families assets should become public property. Bunch of corrupt scum we have. If our President cannot help us we will have to help ourselves. We can only hope one day we get a non corrupted intelligent leader to take on our corrupt officials the same who get voted in time after time becuase the people are scared of them. Those people should not be scared. There are more of us than there are of them. We need to vote in representatives who will be looking out for us not to line their pockets. It is time to punish government corruption with a firm fist.

You better keep your eyes open. They will try to fool you by introducing another wording which will mean the same danm' thing. I am paliamentary procedures aware enough to tell you that they're gonna do just that.. If you don't force them to make it clear that your beaches, your coastline, your rivers, your lakes and your lagoons belong to the public domain at all time, then the government will be able to sell them or to rent them to Corporations which will be using them for profit.

If I was a Dominican living in any city, I'd be in the front line in order to secure future generations rights to enjoy their country's marvels.
Let's see how patriotic you people are. When it comes to bashing Haitians, you are expert, but they're about to rob you big deal and everybody looks like litte crying puppy dogs. What don't you take to the street fools?

A note to the Pueblo:

Gee. We're sorry. We didn't realize that you would catch on that we were screwing you just so that we could fill our pockets (even fulller than they were before). We have tried our best to keep you as ignorant as possible. What happened? How did you catch on? Where did we go wrong? We need to learn from this experience.

P.S. Please don't believe anything else you read in the papers. Since we aren't as yet able to completely control the media (and we are trying to) you are going to be reading some stuff that puts us in a bad light. Don't believe it. Aren't we the people who, at campaign time go around throwing money from suitcases to our supporters? Aren't we the people responsible for all the botellas that allow your families to eat? We don't just give make believe jobs to our own friends and relatives. Sometimes someone you know gets one also.
