Santo Domingo.- National District prosecutor Alejandro Moscoso announced Thursday afternoon the arrest of Eddy Brito, ex husband of Sobeida Feliz, implicated in the case of 4.6 million dollars confiscated in a Santo Domingo apartment.

He said the investigation continues and Brito, who’ll be indicted in the next few hours, in being held in the Ciudad Nueva Courthouse jail

Moscoso said Brito had helped the Puerto Rican fugitive Jose Figueroa Agosto, alias El Boricua, alleged head of an organized crime network.

The National District prosecutor said Brito will be charged with money laundering and is also being investigated for having an official license plate found in a safe in a residence of the upscale sector Arroyo Hondo, in which agents also seized its title of property in his name.

This is definitely a step in the right direction but bernies is correct these people operate because of direct protection paid to our security forces and corrupt politicians. It is time for some serious house cleaning from within as well.
