Where is Sobeida?
Zoom Picture

SANTO DOMINGO.- The authorities don’t know where the fugitive Sobeida Felix could be, for which on Friday the National District Office of the Prosecutor said even Haiti’s international airport  flights were reviewed all week to see if her name is among the passengers aboard outgoing flights.

The Prosecutor Alejandro Moscoso sent the fugitive’s data to Interpol as local law enforcement organisms activate the pursuit to establish the whereabouts of Felix, implicated in the US$4.6 million seized from the Puerto Rican Jose D. Figueroa, who escaped from a prison on that island, where he was serving a 209 year sentence. He doesn’t discard the possibility that she used a fake name to leave the country.

As to 7th Instruction Court judge Rosanna Vásquez’s ruling to release Felix, the official said any decision which isn’t clear must be investigated. “The Appellate Court’s decision which varied the measure and questioning the judge’s basis to vary the measure to a certain extent indicates that she can at least be questioned by the Supreme Court."

Moscoso said investigators are looking to see if the fugitive has managed to leave the country through one of the ports or airports or across the border.

I still believe that the person/persons responsible for making the decision to let her go should take her place in jail until she is caught. She will probably never be heard from again, but maybe the next idiot to have to make a decision about who deserves bail will actually consider what could go wrong. One of the biggest problems we face is that there is no penalty for the people who are making these ridiculous decisions.

Everybody told the judge not to give bail that this person was needed for the investigationand this and that. But the stuborn judge said NO I'm the judge God damn it. This is one of the reason why our country to suceed we need a strong central govertment in place. Someone who get these knuclelhead by the ear and make them reason. Sad but true.

Youy think??? Really she gone? Our justice system is so ass backwards that it down right embarassing. I only hope that the judge that set bail is stripped of her title, cane whipped in public, and thrown into jail with no bail. I'm tired of these damn criminals letting other criminals get off scott free. It's pathetic and the Dominican peole are tired of being victims to this crap.

She bought her freedom with cash. I am sure it is quite obvious who got paid and how much if anyone cares to look at bank statements. Corrupt Dominican officials are above the law for now.

We need leadership that will call government corruption treason and enforce the death penalty for it. After a few years the population will go down and most of our problems will be under control.

This case just comes to show why we should be more selective as to which cases are handled by Official Judges and those so call Jueces Interinos. This is just one case that's has gotten the attention it deserves but the major problem is having this kind of temporary judges in cases so sensitive to the public. We should make changes to this practices because lawyers in DR have found this major loop hole and are using it to their advantage and the temp judges since they are not well known to the public since they are not "officially" part of the team. take advantage of the bribe money provided by these delinquents who are getting away. DNCD/PND have improved on their side of things now is time for the supreme court to keep their promise to improve the justice department because if is not done quickly it will make DNCD/PND think that is not worth catching these folks if they just going to get released back to the streets. This lady should have never been granted a bail to begin with.

People like her have a small universe, the places they go and the people they hang around with, she should not be too hard to find , if the FBI get involved.

To date Jose Figueroa has not been captured. I'm pretty sure miss Sobeida has taken the same route of escape as Figueroa. right now they are both in a yacht off a small island sipping champagne and laughing at the DR justice system.

She is out of jail but certainly not free.

She has to look over her shoulders every time, and move frequently.

She could be betrayed by anyone, any time-even for the smallest transgression.

I suspect she never left DR and that she is being protected and hiding-maybe even in Santo Domingo, or even Ensanche Caonabo [Los Platanitos-you know, that drug haven with a certain chopo with the blue Honda Civic].

With her mug posted to Interpol, her choices of countries are probably limited to Venezuela and Cuba or Nicaragua. If she went to any of them, then she is probably already subjected to a fate worse than Najayo.

She is pleasing to the male eyes, so she might find some gratuitous protection [well maybe not all that free!], unless she is hanging around with that other fugitive.

Anyway, the story might one day make for an interesting movie, perhaps something along the way of "Correa Costa".

1. Change the constitution to enforce death penalty (execution by firing squad) for all military personnel involved in corruption or treason.
2. Mandatory requirement for all public jobs: Enroll to the military.
Since punishment will be determined by a Military court, Human Rights Organizations opinion is void.

OH MY GOD , SHE IS GONE......WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO?

In cases like this, police should learn that after they have let her go, she had to be monitor, because there was a 100% chance that Narco will get a hold of her to find out what she has been talking, they let her loose like a fish in a pirana pool.

2 posibilities:

She is Dead or Out there LOL of the studis

Just imagine that Sobeida and her loverboy the PR man, how much $$$$$$$$ they gave to these prosecutors to let them slip by? All it could happen to them (the DA and those involved) is that they get fired. After that? they have at least a million dollars to live their life happily ever after. Can you blame them if they only make like US$4,000 a month? They probably were bribed enough to give all in the Supreme Court a couple of thousand US$, jajjaj Blind justice leading the Blind.

Not sure of the validity of this, but a friend of mine told me that a family member in Gaspar Hernandez (near POP) saw her being dragged out of a hair salon by two large men around the first of the month, and she was never seen again... I think "sleeping with the fish" is probably the most logical resultado, considering the "top brass" she might be able to finger as accomplices in her drug dealings...

I got to see the Judge that released her in person! Everybody was staring at her but I guess she doesn't care cause she's driving her SUV and has money in her pockets. Yes, it's a country full of hypocrisy, double standards, machismo, you name it. You wanna see the wild west with today's technology, go visit DR!
