Santo Domingo. - State-owned power companies (CDEEE) vice president Celso Marranzini today advised Senate president Reinaldo Pared that he’s a Cabinet minster and as such would have to support him instead of criticizing him. “I don’t know what the Senate President has with me.”

Asked about Pared’s statement that the blackouts have increased after his arrival at the CDEEE, Marranzini said it’s the second time the also ruling PLD party’s General Secretary is critical of his management.

In a interview for 106.5 F.M radio, the official denied affirmations that the service had worsened after Radhamés Segura was fired, assuring that energy generation set a record in October.

When asked if Pared may be annoyed with him because he fired members of the PLD from the CDEEE, Marranzini said the votes of the rest of the Dominicans are more than those who were dismissed, which he did to improve the service. “The Senate President must remember that I’m a Cabinet Minster and his duty is to support the work I’m doing instead of criticizing me. I could be calmly seated at my office instead of dealing with this problem.”

Pared must have a lot of people screaming at him for losing their jobs....or Pared himself is losing some of his corruption money from the changes taking place. Either way Pared is showing he is corrupt and should be investigated to find the connections and then take all his families assets and send him to jail for corruption. It is quite obvious there is something fishy with Pared. He is just so stupid and feels it is acceptable he makes it obvious. With all of our corruption in our country and nobody being ever held accountable it shows. Perfect example is the escape of certain drug dealers and their friends. The loss of their paperwork in the court system. It makes us look like the international jokes we are. A country with people in charge who believe they are smarter than everyone else but look like fools to the outside world.

Right-on Veronica !! It is obvious to most outsiders what you stated is true, most of those living within the borders of the DR are blinded somehow. Amazing how Politicos can make statements such as this buffoon, Pared Perez...without any outrage from the pueblo Dominicano...

The country needs to back up Celso. He is doing and excellent job since taking over the position. Pared is just another crooked politician who lost one of his life lines when segura was fired. I love the way Celso worded his statement. He basically said "Do you job and I'll do mine"

Mr Marranzini. Please do not listen to that political hacks.

The far majority of DR's politicians are ill-educated thugs that only have greed on their minds.

Just by getting rid of Segura’s nepotism, you have my vote.

The only reason these morons are criticizing you is that they have NO talent (or intelligence) so it is easier to be negative. And of course you shut off the pork barrel and they can not buy a new SUV.

Screw them.

No power this morning for less than an hour. Much less than the past 3 weeks, exactly as Marranzini predicted. What prediction of any senator has ever come to be?
