Santo Domingo. - The National Meteorology Office (ONAMET) forecasts a partly cloudy sky and increased overcast for the afternoon today with the thunderstorms and widely scattered showers over most of the east and northeast provinces and in greater Santo Domingo.

ONAMET said the winds from the east will bring humidity nationwide, and that frontal system now over the central portion of Cuba is expected to approach from the west on Sunday. It said the current above-normal temperatures will also continue.

Meteorology also urged small boats to navigate with caution along the Caribbean coast.
