Santo Domingo.– The Alliance College of Medical Sciences (ACMs) has signed a memorandum of understanding on academic collaboration with Dominican Republic’s Universidad Nacional Pedro Henriquez Urena (UNPHU).
According to ACMS executive chairman Datuk Dr Zainuddin Wazir, the memorandum covered exchange of students and teaching staff.
“ACMS will send 60 students a year to the UNPHU starting next year,” he said. Zainuddin said the ACMS would also bring in 20 teaching staff from the Dominican Republic and Cuba.
The signing of the memorandum was witnessed by the Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail and the Raja Puan Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil, the ACMS president.

And why do Dominican teaching staff want to go to Malaysia where they speak malaysian mainly in the universities .At present ,the specialist medical teaching staff in SD still come from the USA and Cuba ..it is not as if we are world leaders in medecine ...just a very odd story
