Santo Domingo.- The Justice Ministry and the Office of the National District Prosecutor Friday requested the provisional incarceration of two suspect from whom USA$472,880 and RD$72,000 were seized, allegedly from money laundering.

Kelvins Enrique Fernandez Flaquer and Luis Antonio Matos Mendoza were detained by Drugs Control agents, who also seized two SUVs, a Land Rover and Toyota, on charges relating to the case of the fugitives Sobeyda Feliz Morel and the Puerto Rican Jose Figueroa Agosto.

The Office of the National District Prosecutor affirms having enough evidence to link Fernandez Flaquer and Matos Mendoza as members of a ring of organized crime which launders money. It said the money seized and the arrest of Fernandez Flaquer and Matos Mendoza reveals the arduous fight against organized crime.
