SOSUA, Dominican Republic.–
The Canadian man who was found after mysteriously disappearing for 18 days in
the Dominican Republic said he is still in love with the country and will go on
with his plans of settling here.
"I'm not leaving
because of what this was. It scared the living hell out of me and I'm a bowl of
jello..., but has it shaken my interest in the Dominican Republic? Hell no,"
D'Arcy Wright said in an exclusive interview with The Hamilton Spectator.
The 46-year-old was found
Sunday by friends in a small hotel in Santo Domingo, about 170 kilometers from
his new hometown. He managed to contact them with his location and after they
determined it was really him, they went and got him.
Wright said he was accosted
by two or three men with guns and hit on the head when he went to answer his
front door at his Sosua home December 9. The next thing he remembered was being
ordered out of car in the countryside outside Santo Domingo by one of the
gunmen and being told not to come back or they would kill him. He said there
were dogs in the abductors' car as well.
His kidnappers called him a
name he did not recognize, he said, so the best he can figure is that they
mistook him for someone else when they grabbed him. He also figures his memory
is foggy because they drugged him during the 18 days they held him.

I am glad to see that D'Arcy is back and in safe hands. If he is giving exclusive interviews to Canadian media, he should be able to address some of the questions, many who searched for him in Sosua may have. It has been 3 days since he has been discovered (found) there has been veryy little public information given as to what actually happened. I guess the story will be given in due time.
Were his kidnappers Dominican? If so, how did they let him free with all his possessions? They would have even stolen his shoes, knowing the mindset of low-life Tigueres? Mistaken identity? After 2+ weeks? There is much more to the story to be uncovered.
Why was D'Arcy not taken immediately/directly to a Hospital/Clinic, after he was recovered? At least for a complete check-up? OR perhaps taken to Canada for a complete check-up?
Many question remain, that will sooner or later be answered. The bottom line is, he is now safe and back home with his family and friends. That is wonderful !

Well, what do you do after you have recovered from drugs and pain?
Yes, correct: You have a beer.
And what do you do after having been kidnapped?
Yes, you head straight to BC, the home of all chicas serias.

I post on Dr1.com and there is a less democratic system there to post as opposed to here, but there is something shady going on with this whole D'arcy thing. If I we're to say that over there, I would be blacklisted in some way. IF he was in fact a victim of mistaken identity sorry man that sux. BUT I think there is more to this hobbit than meet's the eye. (Yeah I always wanted to say that quote in a sentence, AND WHAT?) There are other victims here, his bitness partners, Curt and Sandi who were the main suspects in the initial hysteria. I hope they recover.

This statement is not exclusive for Dominicans, it also applies for GRINGOS in the DR !. The events and the parties involved in the D'Arcy saga are amazing. "TODO ES POSIBLE EN EL PAIS DE LAS MARAVILLAS".
Many in Sosua have shown their true colors, as this case begins to unravel (yes unravel). Let us all see how this pans out. It is beginning to appear that many posters on another popular respected website, are losing credibility and respect in eyes of the general public that are following this case. The owner partner of that popular site is being attacked for just voicing his views. Perhaps those extranjeros have lived in their little cesspool, just east of POP, a little too long?

This story is lies lies lies. He went off for a few days and when he saw all the fuss that had been aroused, he called two people but was too embarrassed to continue with the calls so he had to make up this story to cover himself. He ought to go to jail for wasting police time. The Dominican people here are very angry, they know he is lying. It is a great insult to them and this country. The cops know the truth but of course the RCM are here so I doubt he will be punished or investigated further. He owes a lot of money and went walkies on his own.

Now that I think about it more and more this does seem like a scam on some level, it just HAS to be. D'arcy, if you screwed with our heads and turned many peoples lives upside down, just to mess up Curt and Sandi you are a bastard. I don't think I can post this on DR1 without getting scourged so thank you DT!!! Teee heee!!!!
