Santo Domingo.– The two officials detained for investigation in the case of
former colonel Gonzalez’s death could be discharged following a recommendation
by the high level
commission probing the case.
According
to press reports, the National Drugs Control Agency's head of operations,
Colonel Miguel A. Sanchez Diaz, and the DNCD commander at La Romana Airport,
Colonel Manuel Diaz Medina, are detained in the high security jail at the DNCD
since 24 December, taken into custody an hour after the murder of Gonzalez
Gonzalez. Sanchez Diaz met with the ex colonel half an hour before he was
killed.
In a
related development, the DNCD, the Republic Attorney General and the National
Police offered protection to Sammy Dauhajre Dauhajre and all those involved in
the Figueroa Agosto case.
Furthermore, the authorities announced Madelin Bernard’s father will be questioned today. He is accused of
possessing properties in La Romana, whose purchase had been handled by late Gonzalez
Gonzalez.

The other day it was five people detained. Where are the other three? If there is sufficient evidence they were involved they should be prosecuted not just discharged.

This just goes to show how corrupt our system really is, These guys are from the DNCD so if they are involved it means that the Bori still has a grip on the high ranking officials and has them doing his dirty work as well. I say it's time to revamp the whole military and the law enforcement officials. Leonel has been avoiding the drug scene and he needs to wake up and be the highest ranking official the country elected him to be, but we all know this is about turf control. This is an inside war between corrupt government officials and high ranking military officials to see who will stay in control of all the tons of coke and dope coming in from Venezuela. All those planes and high tech gadgets are to sleep the citizens into thinking their tax the pesos are for a good cause. BS, You can see in their eyes all the greed and lies that continue to ruin this poor country of ours.

Our legal system at work:
Official: We have proof that you are involved in criminal activities. These activities include, but are not
limited to, murder, smuggling, and money laundering. We have decided that you can't work here
any more.
Accused: Oh no, not that!!!
Official: We sure showed him.

Now they are not discharged but dismissed! No doubt to live comfortably off the proceeds of their ill-gotten gains. They should be fully investigated, prosecuted and their assets seized but that will never happen here.

I don’t understand how can you bring in two high ranking drug enforcement officials, questions them, and latter discharge them from service?????????. Does this mean they can go in to the Drug business on their own? and that they no longer have the support of their government as long as they pay their taxes, to you know who!!!!!!!!!!

So the Pueto Rican Fugitive called Z-101 and implicated a whole bunch of people (DNCD, PN) and excluded Mery Pelaez?
And the head of the DNCD is not surprised about this, because "He knows it all"
Ok Mr know it all, if so, can you start making real progress in the case and stop trying to play cat and cat, because we all know who is implicated but we don't have the authority to arrest anybody.

Yep, they sure showed them....dismissed from those $DRP2000 per month DNCD positions and allowed to attain the higher position of drug escort, hauler, proprietor and barrio boss...
Is everyone in the DR government monkey brained?

Mr. Miller,
With all do respect, in an effort not to offend the sensibility of H25 a more political correct way to describe the current state of our beloved republic might be NARCOLANDIA!
