Santo Domingo.– Miguel Medina, director of Communications for the Metropolitan Transit Authority (AMET), explained that the bullet that hit a man on Thursday, resulting in his death, had been aimed at the floor and not at the man.
Medina said the dead man, identified as Santo Henriquez Abad, was neither a driver nor a fare collector but he stabbed one of the AMET officers in the arm.
Despite the different versions, one thing is known: AMET officers Juan Francisco Fabian and Gustavo Garcia Estrella stopped Jose Aridson Rodriguez due to a traffic violation on Maximo Gomez and Los Martires avenues and since Rodriguez did not have a driving license the officers proceeded to seize the vehicle.

Swift Justice? Or, just day at the office?
The family of Henriquez Abad will not take this lying down; This will not just be case closed, case. If the deceased is of the Henriquez family of the Capital it won't go down easy.
Expect a major investigation, etc. My concolences to the deceased's family.
oooo
but he stabbed one of the AMET officers in the arm
I think the Amet guy did what he was suppose to do, "shoot" the bastard. !!
We like to glorify the order in which we live in the US, but you stab a policeman and "Your History".
Please stop driving around with thier lights on and learn to shot center mass boys!
If AMET needs more firearms training then we are prepared to provide it too...
