San Cristóbal. - Environment Ministry Protected Areas ex director Roberto Sanchez yesterday denounced that the Supreme Court would have, or is prepared to rule for the people who defrauded the Dominican State out of the lands of the Jaragua National Park from Bahia de las Aguilas to Punta Beata.

“If that happens it would be accepting as fact, and legalizing the expropriation of state lands and everything in that place”, Sanchez warned in the conference on Environmental Public Policies, hosted by the political movement, Miuca.

He said foreign investors, with the support of Government agencies, would buy the usurped lands through an intermediary, and presumably legalized by the Supreme Court ruling, at the rate of US$16 per square meter, whereas the alleged owners would be given US$4 per meter, and the intermediaries would get 12 dollars for each of the millions of square meters of land.

The transaction would be made as part of “the policy to attract foreign investors.”

Could you imagine a future presidential candidate in the United States endorsing a US Senator in New York working four days a week in Canada and rarely if ever showing up to his senate office!

Guillermo it looks better and better for you every day!
