So, you think these are just pre-shocks to the big one?

Well, lets expand the METRO in the earthquake zones (instead of building more prudent infrastructure)!

8 years ago I read a booklet that was printed in St. Thomas USVI about the potential for earth quakes and tsunamis from Haiti to St. Martin. The book spoke of the past damage to Puerto Plata and to Charlote Amalie in St. Thomas. It also predicted that in approximatley in 12 - 16 years the Puerto Rican trench tetonic plates will most probably shift creating a massive Tsunami wave.

I live in KY, where the Madrid Fault passes through. They have been predicting for a few years now that we will be having a major earthquake in the near future. I guess it won't do me any good to flee to the DR

Yes, most of the time is spent out of doors in DR - the safest place in the case of an earthquake.
If you build a house out of bamboo it is good for eathquakes.
