SANTO DOMINGO.- The ex head of the Dominican Communist Party and admitted supporter of the terrorist organization FARC today expressed fear of an assassination attempt he said would be devised by retired general Mario Montoya, named that country’s Ambassador in Dominican republic Thursday.
Narciso Isa Conde, in a letter to president Leonel Fernandez presented during a press conference Friday morning, said Colombia’s new ambassador is the person who allegedly planned to assassinate him in 2008.
He said the fact that Montoya was sworn in an “almost secret” ceremony, “is for me a clear signal of the reactivation of criminal plan Uribe-CIA (Central Intelligence Agency), of which I informed the government in August last year, such as those terrorist-narco-paramilitary practices of the Colombian regime of other processes that also infect Dominican society.”
The ex communist leader, noting that the Colombian general is accused of several crimes in his country, asked Fernandez not to reject Montoya’s credentials, as ambassador-designee in Dominican Republic, for the threat he said poses “to my life and that of other leftist leaders.”
Isa Conde said he reserves the right o resort to the means necessary, “to prevent any aggression against him and morally and politically punishing those who promote or facilitate it.”

Colombia's Government has sacked three generals and 24 other military officers after an investigation found evidence the army has been murdering innocent civilians.
Young men have been disappearing from the southern Bolota district of Soacha. They had little in common, except they were poor and usually unemployed.
Then their bodies appeared in Norte de Santander, an area sown with drug crops and home to illegal armies.
The army said they were rebels who had been killed in combat.
But investigations now suggest that the men were tricked with offers of employment, then murdered so that army officers could show results and be eligible for promotion.

My question is why doesn't the government of the DR turn him over to Colombia to be tried and jailed as he is the FARC representative in the DR and supports the FARC's killings, kidnappings, extortion, drug industry etc. Why does the DR put up with him?
