The official said the distributors Ninoska, located in El Brisal, Santo Domingo Este; Distribuidora Internacional García S.A. in El Ozama; DLF, in Serralles; Distribuidora Suplirami S.A., in El Million, and the pharmacy Matilde, in La Fe.

He also mentioned the Distribuidora Vendisar S.A., in Luperón; Distribuidora Commercial N CxA, in San Carlos, Farmacia Sanchez, Los Guandules; and he pharmacies Rosa Maria, in Villas Agricolas, and Manuel, in Las Palmas de Herrera

Rojas said all those responsible will be charged and reiterated a firm commitment to prosecute that crime and continue the investigation. “We want to tell the Dominican people to trust this Ministry’s Drugs and Pharmacies Agency for operating transparently.”

. “We want to tell the Dominican people to trust this Ministry’s Drugs and Pharmacies Agency for operating transparently".... WTF !!! what a foolish statement Bautista Rojas makes. He must believe that all Dominican are so ingorant to accept his words. He needs to be put out to graze in a pasture filled with those who took illegal meds and let them give him a bit of their "transparency". Bautista Rojas would have never brought this out to the public, if it were not outed by others. Long live China, where people of his kind are executed !!!

DITTO! WTF!!

Yes, if the RD were more like Saudi Arabia in dealing with criminals or more like China then honestly we would have less to blog about. The writing of complaints would decrease about 80%!

Again, the role of the US Embassy is to lead the way in protecting the interest of Americans in the RD. That includes persons defined as a corporate nature under the law... Bristol Myers Squibb, Merck, Abbott Labs etc.

The counterfeiters costs thousands of lost revenues and thus job layoffs here in the USA because our US Embassy officials in la capital are more concern about "keeping' their jobs rather than "doing" their jobs. US Gov officials in Santo Domingo should STOP WATCHING SO MUCH PORN on their US Gov computers and do some real work that is results oriented!

For years, we have been asleep behind the wheel while drug runners and counterfeiters do whatever they want to do in the RD (without any sanctions from the USA). There is NO Int'l deterrent to crime)

Yes he believes that Dominicans and know the preponderance are ignorant.

He is probably upset because he didn't get his piece of pie, or what he deemed the right size of the pie.

They probably were caught because somebody didn't get paid. Not to be negative but this is just the way things work in Dominicana.

why is it that when small fry get caught doing crime in the DR, their names are splattered all over the news immediately, but when big fish are caught, we have to wait for people like Huchi Lora and Nuria to out them?

JD_Dominguez: you're correct about how govt functions, all they're time is spent in getting primos into no-show or no-work jobs where they spend their time playing computer games, putting in new screen savers, redecorating their "work" spaces for the month's holidays and going to seminars where they chase each other among the hotel rooms.

It's that way in Europe, the USA and, of course, banana republics. Time to deconstruct over-elaborated laws and bureaucracies and create distributed governance. But lots will go down before that happens.

how can the dominicans trust the government that has never given any reason to believe? i really am amazed at how hopeful dominicans remain every election. it is admirable and i do hope that the citizens will get their justice some day!

Escott, I very much disagree with your comment about dominican intelligence. i have lived with them for many years and they have taught me much about life. I will always remember my time spent in the d.r., consider it the best times of my life and think very highly of dominicans as intelligent people with much value and beauty.

Dominicans are master in art of deception.

This is where they excel.
